What lesson can a chair teach you?🤔 Last week I was privileged to get the chance to deliver assemblies. As part of the assemblies, 3 volunteers were called on to take on a challenge - the challenge to clean the chair in the phoot using a selection of cleaning materials provided. 30 seconds isn’t long, however the challenge to see if anyone could clean all areas was one that only 2 students accomplished. The reaction of the students as they turned over the chair to clean the underneath to find £5 provided the best reaction OR to hear a room of 200 students in shock that there was the opportunity to take away £5 = priceless. The message… you’ve got to do a thorough job to get a reward. Linking this to Attendance Action Week in that if you miss out on key areas of education your attendance can be impacted, but if your attendance is good you will be rewarded. I might be £10 down last week, but to have a buzz going around an Academy linked to your assembly is a good feeling. #assemblyidea #attendance #challenge #Nottingham #rewards
