At Humanoids we have been investing in the new generation of designers through our traineeships for 7+ years now. We’ve happily trained 100+ specialists over the years: it’s our mission. What we’ve learned: - What is a “senior”? Experience is over-valued in a fast-changing sector as tech. Many experienced specialists haven’t adapted. Priorities change when you grown older. Seniors lose their hunger. What we need is passionate, eager and flexible specialists. We happily supply those with all the tools they need. - Golden triangle What we’re looking for is the golden triangle of drive - talent - interpersonal skills. This market demands more than just the hard skills nowadays. What we’ve noticed is these are ”intrinsic” talents, more than skills developed over time. We’re perfectly able to find these among the younger generation. - Full-spectrum Often, when you’re working with IT specialists they have their own history of tools and stacks. Working with a “blank sheet” enables us infuse a skillset mirroring the current state of the market. From design thinking methodology to research to execution and everything in between. This way, a designer can bring true value to the table. Then: who cares about the “number of years”?
Designers just starting their journeys have an incredibly rough time finding a job. Talented professionals who need a chance to prove themselves. Budgets are tight and there isn't room to invest in these new designers. My questions are; Who are going to be our future senior designers? What can we do to change this? P.S. My heart goes out to all of you struggling to get your first chance to shine.

And this inquiry ended up being a ... .... trick 🫠 Oh well, not all stories have happy endings. But it's a good story despite the ending. Just the pure coincidence of me booking a salon next to a pub where I used to work whilst desperately looking for my first 'proper' design job, and walking away with a potential project lead is a bit mindblowing. One of those full circle moments 💫 Anyways onwards and upwards 👍 #interiordesignbusiness #interiordesigncareer #interiordesign #interiordesigner

So as you now all know about 1521 Design Studio. I’d actually like to introduce you to the team that’s going to be available to you 🥰 Founder & Creative Director: Me Associate Director: me but lowercase m Senior Interior Designer: Me - the part of me that’s hoping that Director me turns up to the 2pm client call (Director me might have personal commitments) Technical Designer: me, I do love AutoCAD until I’m bored then I go have a “catch up” with the visualiser, his job is pretty cool. Visualiser - me, technical designer, me, is a weirdo Middleweight Designer: you guessed it - me (the part of me that’s a jobsworth, can’t trust me with anything because I will tell HR everything to climb up the company ladder but please do tell, you can trust me 📝 ) Junior Designer: Me and all my mistakes that make senior designer, me, pull their hair out because I’ve told me to check my work for the 47th time this week Finance Manager: Me, numbers are 🥱 but I did pretty good in a-level maths Marketing Manager: Me ✨- added the stars because it’s the exciting character in me that has to set the company apart from everyone else HR Manager: moi, mi, a mi, mina - inclusive me but besides bonjour, hola, ci and ciao, you’re basically talking to a brick wall because I’m not as fantastically bilingual as some of you! The biggest lesson I’m learning from starting a business on your own is that you are everyone and you have to create time for every aspect, no part is more important than the other and they all need their dedication. They all play their parts and they are all learning and growing as a unit and as you can clearly tell this Friday afternoon I’m going crazy but hope you are all having a great Friday and looking forward to the weekend 🍷🖤 #interiordesign #designer #newbusiness #starting #property #propertyinvestment #realestate #luxurydesign #weekend #friday

A Sensory Approch To Architecture & Design. #mywork Designing allows me to see potential in a space, to imagine how it could be different, and to create something truly unique and special. I always upskill my ideas and inspirations, to allow my creativity to flow. Anyhow designing is all about creating a space that reflects our own or client's personal style through the art of storytelling. It's important to explore different options and see what feels best for the space. Memories, adventures, and inspirations can all be great sources of creativity for designing. Although, our personal experiences would create spaces that are truly unprecedented whilst using them to create a space that perfectly reflects our individual style. Let our creativity run wild! I’m excited to put my designing experience and 'creartive' skills for my upcoming roles. I’m open to remote, part time, on-site and hybrid roles in the London area. Please feel free to put your comments or share my post with relevant employers. #opentowork #Interiordesigner #Interiorarchitect #architectassistant #architectassistantpart1 #ukjobs #londonarchitects #architecturelovers #contemporarydesign #minimalistarchitecture #rendering #photoshopart #lumionrender #enscapevisualization #sketchupdesign #architecturalphotography #modernarchitecture #architecture #3drender #walkthrough #architectureanddesign #architecturedrawing #architecturelovers #contemporaryarchitecture #minimalism #photoshop

That's one way to fill a vacancy! *Not my photo* I recently made a post about what can be done to vacant big boxes that generated some good discussion. What are your thoughts on this? The fact they kept the rainbow design is my favorite part 😂 #retailrealestate #adaptivereuse #TheDealMan
