I get it. The sentiment intended by whoever originally posted this is that you need to position yourself in a place where you can be seen, so that you can be promoted and be successful. BUT Worthless?? Really? I sincerely don't mean to be pedantic and pick this apart. Because even the original meme creator may agree with me about what I am going to write. The worth of any human is in nothing but the One in whose likeness they are fashioned. Fish were created to thrive in water; if they don't they die. Trees were created to thrive in the earth; if they don't they die. Humans were created to thrive in God; if they don't they die. Please never forget that your worth is not in your utility, but in your humanity. We are created in the image of God, literally IMAGO DEI. If I descend to the depths, You are there. If I ascend to the highest heights, You are there. (Paraphrased from Psalm 139:8) Even in the most "meaningless" job, there is meaning in your work. Even if the work itself is not what anyone would consider "meaningful"; the value of the work is what is does within you. The discipline it takes for you to show up day in and day out, no matter how valuable the product is, this is what holds transformative power. There are worse things than working and dying in obscurity. To ascend to some heights that could only be reached by dishonor, and the end result will be the destruction of that person, this is worse. Don't worry about not being seen by anyone but your Creator. He sees you, and has your best interest in the palm of His hand. Be there! Everything else will take care of itself. Agree? I don't care, it's the Truth.
