New Post: Is ‘XDefiant’ coming to PS4 and Xbox One? - https://lnkd.in/g6Uk2DDS - After years of betas, trailers, and delays, Ubisoft‘s XDefiant is finally releasing on May 21, 2024. However, the news of the release date was met with some slight worry from those who haven’t been able to upgrade to the latest consoles, as the game won’t be released on PS4 or Xbox One this month. READ MORE: All games releasing in 2024 for PS5, PS4, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch Is the last-gen version of the game still in the works? Was it completely cancelled or has it just been delayed to ensure the game can launch smoothly on the latest consoles? Here is what we know from Ubisoft currently. Is ‘XDefiant’ coming to PS4 and Xbox One? It looks like XDefiant for PS4 and Xbox One has been cancelled ahead of the game’s full launch. The platforms are absent from the official blog post announcing the launch date and the XDefiant Twitter/X account later clarified that “We wanted to keep a consistent standard of quality for the game, so we made the decision to focus only on current-gen consoles.” Thanks for the question! We wanted to keep a consistent standard of quality for the game, so we made the decision to focus only on current gen consoles. Appreciate the understanding! — XDefiant (@PlayXDefiant) May 2, 2024 This will undoubtedly be disappointing for many players who were looking for a new shooter to try out on PS4 and Xbox One, or to find a new live service to sink their teeth into instead of Call of Duty. There is a chance we may see the game released on these older consoles if Ubisoft is happy with the stability of the PS5, Xbox Series X

New Post: ‘Total War’ developer reportedly working on new ‘Star Wars’ game - https://lnkd.in/gRJjZFZT - Total War developers Creative Assembly are reportedly working on a new Star Wars game. READ MORE: Thrones Of Decay is a return to form for ‘Total War: Warhammer 3’ According to a new report by Dualshockers, Total War: Star Wars has been in development since October 2023. Total War is a series of strategy games that typically combine turn-based strategy and resource management with real-time tactical control of battles, with this new game set to take that to a galaxy far, far away. The report also claims that Creative Assembly are working on two different projects as well, meaning it’s impossible for them to speculate on a release date. At the end of last year, Sega announced that Creative Assembly would be focusing on strategy titles, following the cancellation of Hyenas. Total War: Star Wars isn’t the only strategy game currently in development either. At the start of 2022, EA confirmed Respawn Entertainment were working on a trio of new Star Wars titles, including a strategy game being created alongside Bit Reactor. However, earlier this month Respawn confirmed it had cancelled its Mandalorian-inspired first-person shooter. “As we’ve looked at Respawn’s portfolio over the last few months, what’s clear is the games our players are most excited about are Jedi and Respawn’s rich library of owned brands,” EA Entertainment president Laura Miele wrote in a statement. “Knowing this, we have decided to pivot away from early development on a Star Wars FPS Action game to focus our efforts on new projects based on our owned brands while providing support for existing games.” Following that news though, Bit Reactor confirmed their Star Wars game was still in development. “Last week was difficult for the industry, and more so because of our strong relationships within the other teams at Respawn,” they wrote on social media. “But for those asking, we are still hard at work, and our game was unaffected by last week’s news.” They went on to say fans would see more of the game “as soon as it’s ready”. In other news, JME, P.Money, Chip and Unknown T have gone head-to-head on Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s latest Grime map – check out the footage here. Staying respectfully neutral here, I have more questions related to games & politics. Last week, we discussed politicians scapegoating video games for youth violence. Do you think that politicians also use video games to pander to the youth vote? What policy in the last decade directly supported America's gaming industry? What federal programs have created gaming industry pathways for youth voters? Other countries invest in their gaming industry, why doesn't that happen here?

I love this game and these 8 lessons! I would add another lesson to also Stay Out Of Jail! This game teaches the mechanics of how to play the entrepreneur and investing game in real life.
We all know I love a good game of Monopoly. But I am a Shark, so naturally I take every opportunity I can to share business advice…even when playing a board game! While most of us play games like Monopoly because they're fun, they can also teach us valuable lessons that we can use in our everyday lives and in business So the next time you’re playing your siblings, parents, friends, or someone else in Monopoly, use these tips to try and beat them. But once you do, apply them outside of the game to your everyday life #Monopoly.
