We discuss whether packing kids' schedules with activities stifles creativity and leads to burnout. Drawing from personal experiences and research, we explore the potential negative impacts of overbooking, such as increased screen time, less nutritious food choices, and fewer opportunities for free play. Do kids today miss out on the creativity born from boredom, or are we just keeping them too busy?

Did you know that pacing your speaking isn't just about how fast you go? Speed (or tempo) is important, but we can also consider pacing in other ways – e.g. what about the time you spend between one sentence and the next, your use of pauses, or even the length of time you spend on an important word or syllable? Add to this the need for a good speaking rhythm and the use of variety to engage your listener and you'll begin to see just how important an understanding of pacing is.
