What's the current state of innovation in Italy, and what are the prospects for its future? 💡 Day two of the #MugelloTechSummit was a bold exploration of these questions, featuring discussions that went beyond rhetoric to deliver practical insights and perspectives. Where can we find the secrets to make corporate innovation flourish? It's not a simple task or a credible initiative, but rather a complex problem. However, in my opinion, it's worth it when the board truly understands the potential and new revenue streams that a strategic, transformative, corporate innovation program can bring. Before delving into technology, resources, frameworks, and other tools that are often considered essential, it is crucial to first assess the culture, talent of the people, insights gathering strategies, and the company's willingness to embrace change while remaining open to external influences.. Corporate Innovation often takes longer, but when executed well, it can significantly transform your opportunities. The past year has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Building Dormot has been one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my life. From sleepless nights to overcoming countless obstacles, the journey has been challenging—but 100% worth it. There was a moment during a particularly tough challenge when a member of my team said, “Eldred, one thing I’ve come to learn and know about you is your grit.” Hearing that—knowing that my team believed in my ability to push through—was both humbling and incredibly motivating. That belief continues to fuel my desire to push Dormot to new heights. Over the past year, I’ve worn many hats: product manager, strategist, problem-solver, recruiter, and leader. And now, I’ve added a new one—sales and marketing. It’s my latest challenge, but I’m loving it. Whether coaching teams (as I’ve done for over a decade as an Agile Coach and Scrum Master) or navigating uncharted territories, I’m learning, adapting, and embracing the journey every step of the way. We’ve hit incredible milestones: Launching Dormot Core this week—our flagship product is ready to transform property management. Our new website launches on Monday to reflect the fact that we are live. ✅ Showcasing Dormot’s ecosystem at the Africa Startup Festival to a fantastic reception. ✅ Signing partnerships with real-estate companies in Nigeria As we step into 2025, I’m more excited than ever. This year is all about scaling, onboarding, and showing the world that African startups are the future and also what Dormot can truly achieve. To everyone who’s supported this journey—thank you.
