One click, just one click and you can stand with us to help! It's the month of Thanksgiving in the US, and the food supply chain in particular is on our mind at RELEX Solutions. We help many kinds of retailers and CPGs optimize their supply chains, but spoilage is unique to those operating in the food industry. In 2023, 8.8 million Californians experienced food insecurity. This means that nearly 1 in every 4 individuals are unsure where their next meal will come from. Every year, lawyers across the state come together to try to provide critical funds to local food banks. So please join us in donating to your local food bank. If you don't have one, please consider donating to our firm's local food bank. Contra Costa County often receives far less resources than San Francisco and Alameda. Each Fall, I embark on my "Fundraising Frenzy" to support a local organization, matching donations along the way. This year, I am dedicated to Camella's Cupboard Food Pantry for Children, a local organization that focuses on providing Food for Kids. E̲v̲e̲r̲y̲ ̲s̲t̲o̲r̲y̲ ̲i̲s̲ ̲u̲n̲i̲q̲u̲e̲,̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲f̲o̲r̲ ̲k̲i̲d̲s̲ ̲f̲a̲c̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲f̲o̲o̲d̲ ̲i̲n̲s̲e̲c̲u̲r̲i̲t̲i̲e̲s̲,̲ 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁. Camella's Cupboard Food Pantry for Children is a remarkable local initiative, sending over 500 families in the area 60 lbs of fresh food, necessities, and more each week. The need is clear - kids are going hungry. Shockingly, 1 in 6 kids in CT experience food insecurity, but since 2018, Camella's Cupboard has been making a difference. It's all about the kids. Do you prefer chicken nuggets or chicken fingers?! I recently enjoyed sometime with loved ones in Las Vegas and my two year old little cousin Yara demanded chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. This made me think about what donors demand and prefer! ✅Donors philanthropic landscape can be this simple… ✅We often over complicate things by making donors more likely NOT to give … ✅Be quiet… listen… and follow through with connecting to what he/she prefers….and tailor to their needs. ✅Don’t push peas if they prefer chicken nuggets and macaroni cheese! Alex C and I come from similar worlds apart—the post-Soviet terrains of Russia and the now war-torn Donetsk region of Ukraine. Our childhoods were overshadowed by the pangs of food scarcity, a memory that now fuels our purpose at Zina's. I remember the lengths to which my parents went to provide for me amid widespread need.
