🌊 Harness the Power of Water with Floating Solar Systems ☀️ Imagine turning underused spaces like man-made lakes or quarry ponds into thriving hubs of clean energy. Floating solar systems are a real win-win for sustainability and innovation: ✅ They utilize water bodies that would otherwise remain idle. ✅ They reduce water evaporation by up to 70%. ✅ They keep panels cool for up to 15% higher energy efficiency. At Schletter, we’re committed to innovation. Working closely with leading research institutes, we continuously optimize our mounting systems for all contexts. 🔊 Unmute the video below to hear from our CTO, Dr. Cedrik Zapfe, and discover how Schletter is making waves in the future of floating PV systems. 👇

It’s exciting being on the organizing committee and seeing the speaker line up. I will be co-moderating the Efficiency First panel. Energy saving strategies in buildings can reduce energy demand by 35-50% so less energy of any kind is needed, and then a given amount of solar panels can power more buildings. National, state, and local organizations are training workers to make energy-efficient improvements and test them to provide verification. Many new jobs are being created in these easy to learn building sciences. Exchange ideas and learn more about it at SOLAR 2024
"The conference theme, 'Connecting Technology & Policy,' will promote the ASES mission to accelerate equitable solar adoption and universal sustainable living by educating and building community. It will focus on models and tools for negotiating the challenges to advancing renewables by following justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) principles. Never before is such a meeting needed in our nation’s capital, before the 2024 national elections for President and Members of Congress." - Scott Sklar, SOLAR 2024 Conference Chair, Adjunct Professor & Sustainable Energy Director of GWU’s Environment & Energy Management Institute (EEMI) and President of The Stella Group, Ltd, Learn more and register today at ases.org/conference!

SpeedLocal: Enhancing local implementation and social acceptance The development of integrated energy planning is a crucial step to achieve a green energy transition. However, guidelines and tools are needed to help stakeholders balance energy needs and potentials with resource availability, landscape impacts and community demands. The SpeedLocal project, funded by Nordisk Energiforskning through the Nordic Grand Solutions Programme, aims to address the need for such tools as well as empower local stakeholders to collaborate on sustainable integrated energy plans. The project strives to bridge the gap between traditional research disciplines and improve coordination across geographical and governance scales. "The goal of our approach is to further our capacity for turning knowledge into action by navigating the intricate relationship between energy and society," says, Madelene Danielzon Larsson, Project Coordinator of SpeedLocal.
