Modern rare cars come in many different types and characteristics, but they all have a limited number of units produced. Some are produced only for certain markets, while others are created for a limited number of customers. Some cars that have become rare over time, such as the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1, are produced in limited editions. The number of copies is usually several hundred or even tens. These cars have unique characteristics such as high speed, engine power, modern technology and exclusive design. There are also new car models that have already been released in limited quantities. One example is the Lamborghini Veneno, which was released in just five units in 2013. Each copy cost more than $4 million, and all of them were sold before production began. Another example is the Rolls-Royce Sweptail, which was custom-built for a wealthy client. This car was produced in a single copy and has a unique design and technology. There are also other rare cars such as the Aston Martin One-77, Koenigsegg Agera RS, Pagani Huayra BC, etc. All of them are produced in limited editions and have a high price. These cars are a symbol of status and luxury, and many people dream of owning at least one of them. #rarecars #limitededition #luxurycars #porsche911gt2rs #bugattichiron

Now you know why As early as the late 1950s German, Italian and American carmakers such as BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati and Lamborghini created enviable sports cars such as the BMW 507, Corvette, GTB/4 Daytona, Miura, M1, Pantera among others. In those days folks in Taiwan were happily being ferried in pedicabs, with a handful able to buy rickety, used foreign cars. Fast forward to 2024 to see the only so-called automotive show produced in Taiwan whose screenshot from an episode aired July 2, 2024 is shown top-left, where the hostess and "expert guest" on the show wouldn't know what to make of the images in the other screenshots. They are taken from one of the episodes of Bitchin' Rides, the David Kindig-led auto-customization, restoration and restomod show produced in Salt Lake City, Utah. Now you know why Taiwan couldn't make a globally-sought-after car in the 1970s nor today. #NowYouKnowWhy

🍾 BUGATTI ’s greatest Hypercar yet: the USD 4million, V16-powered TOURBILLON 🥂 🚗💨 Like the McLaren Group F1 and the La Ferrari , the seismic impact of the Veyron on the automotive world in 2006 cannot be overstated. It was the first production #car to breach four-figure horsepower and surpass 250 mph, thanks to its outrageous W16 engine with four turbochargers and 10 radiators. 🏎️✨ Then came its successor, the Chiron, a decade later, pushing boundaries even further with a sleek visual makeover. While the #Veyron faced critiques for its design, the #Chiron refined it into a #hypercar worthy of its metrics. And now, enter the Tourbillon—a groundbreaking clean sheet creation with no carryover parts from its predecessors. 🚀🔧 The Tourbillon spiritually channels the Type 35 race car, the opulence of the Type 41 Royale, and the elegance of the Type 57 SC Atlantic. It boasts a massive 64-valve powerplant, a 24.8-kWh battery powering three electric motors, and a combined 1,800 horsepower. Reports say it can go 0-62 mph in about two seconds and reach 249 mph in under 25 seconds. 🕰️⚡ What sets Bugatti apart is their small, agile development team, allowing for greater creativity and innovation. CEO Mate Rimac emphasized, “We didn’t dial it back anywhere—you can see that it’s full throttle, everywhere.” 🏁🔥 Inside, the #Tourbillon is a marvel, drawing inspiration from the art of #watchmaking. The cabin resembles a skeleton watch with intricate details, featuring a titanium-machined instrument cluster and mechanical gauges. It’s the only car in the world with an analog battery charge gauge. 🕰️💎 Bugatti's latest #masterpiece is an audacious move in an era leaning towards electric. As the #automotive industry shifts, Bugatti stands out by creating the 21st century's first and only V16 powerplant—a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter marvel. While others pack in more digital screens, Bugatti embraces Swiss-made chronographs, eliminating displays entirely. 🏆 This is #luxury redefined!

"Good enough” is practically inevitable — just look at the car industry. There’s still plenty of innovation in cars, but it revolves around luxuries and bragging rights rather than practical specs. The ritziest supercar you can buy still won’t get you to work any faster. I think this old Citroën ad sums it up nicely! Full article in the first comment.
