India’s upcoming Auto Expo, held under the Bharat Mobility 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 from 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟕 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟐, is set to feature over 𝟒𝟎 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬. Hosted at @Bharat Mandapam, @Yashobhoomi (India International Convention Centre, Dwarka), and India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, these launches will span across diverse vehicle segments, including two-wheelers, passenger cars, and buses. Speaking about this event, Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, highlighted that the expo is expected to attract significant participation, catering to both B2B and B2C audiences. The auto expo show will spotlight automobiles along with specialized segments such as a battery show, tire show, and electronics show, providing a holistic view of the mobility ecosystem. My journey with #BAJASAEINDIA started in 2010, when I was just a student participant. I still remember the day of the endurance event like it was yesterday. Our buggy, No. 13, was roaring around the race circuit, and the excitement in the air was palpable. But then, disaster struck. The slider-block fractured, and our buggy stalled. My team and I were heartbroken, but as tough as that moment was, it wasn’t enough to pull me away from BAJA. The experience left a mark on me - a mix of months of hard work, endless struggles to raise funds, and a race against time. That’s what BAJA is: a journey that transforms students into well-rounded, industry-ready professionals. Participating in BAJA isn’t just about technical know-how. To succeed, teams need to master marketing, project management, operations, sales, and above all, people management. Every team must develop an entrepreneurial mindset to build a competitive buggy. Over the years, BAJA has kept pace with the automotive industry’s evolution. First came #eBAJA, the electric version in 2015, followed by #hBAJA for hydrogen-powered vehicles, and now we’re in the era of #aBAJA - autonomous BAJA. I’m thrilled to be part of the world’s first-ever aBAJA, where students get hands-on experience with Drive-By-Wire and ADAS technologies using an electric buggy. What made this season special is how the organizers decided to take on the same challenge as the participants, building a Proof of Concept (POC) buggy to better understand the students’ perspective. It felt unique - like no other competition - where the sponsors and organizers themselves tackled the hurdles. The JLR team was proud to offer technical support for the POC buggy and mentor student teams through their own challenges. Big thanks to JLR leadership Carlos Capelett Tony Dale Jai Gupta Lalitha Indrakanti for demonstrating steadfast commitment to building the workforce of tomorrow. And, a special shout out to Kartikeya Gupta Ishaan Jain Asutosh Beuria Souvik Basak for your technical expertise and support throughout this journey.
