PCB Board thickness at RAYMING 1. Nominal board thickness is often just a label. 2. Calculated board thickness is the addition of the nominal thicknesses of each layer that composes the buildup (laminates plus copper). The measured thickness is the actual laminate-to-laminate thickness with the addition of the raw external copper thickness. 3. Board thicknesses do not include plating, finishes, soldermask, and silkscreen. 4. Like RAYMING, most manufacturers will guarantee a 10% tolerance from the calculated thickness. And most importantly: If board thickness is a crucial dimension in your product, never expect to receive an exact thickness, and make sure that there is sufficient allowance that considers all worst-case tolerances. Still, in cases when there is a rigid thickness requirement, work with us early on to make sure that this is achieved reliably.

How to solve the problem of wrinkled ultra-thin copper foil lamination? 🤔 Copper foil wrinkling has always been the PCB industry's “persistent problem”, the following is the solution we have adopted in production, successfully reducing the defective rate from 75% to 3%. 🎉 Key improvements 👇 📍 Optimize rivet design: Reduce rivet density to reduce press-fit stress. 📍 Elimination of adhesive barrier points: The 1cm adhesive barrier area around the rivet formed a flow groove, allowing the PP adhesive to flow naturally and stretch the copper foil. 📍 Enhancement of process details: Adjust the lamination structure, and add an aluminum sheet outside the copper foil when laminating to increase the lamination effect. https://lnkd.in/evWGDBBJ #FastlinkPCB #PCBManufacturing #PCBTips #ElectronicsManufacturing #PCBAssembly #PCBProcess #PCBQualityManagement #PCBProcessOptimization #PCBCopperFoil #PCBLamination

When you go the custom route, it’s easy to supersize your specifications. From sizing to base metal to plating material, all the different variables of pin design can be tweaked to find the perfect combination for your pin. Corrosive Environments: If application requires protection against corrosion, try noble metal plating or a surface treatment. Physical Stress: For applications that will be subjected to physical stress, a Phos Bronze pin is stronger than a Copper pin. Cross Shear: To avoid cross shear on your Brass alignment pin, try a Steel option instead. Shock/Vibration Resistance: For applications requiring shock/vibration resistance, Bead Electronics offers reinforced mechanical designs. Specialized Connector Housings: Bead Electronics offers a variety of unique pin geometries, ensuring compatibility with specialized connector housing. Enhanced Conductivity: Some metals have higher conductivity than others. Explore our custom plating options to see what metal is best for your application. 5 Points to Avoid Issues with Foam Rubber Gaskets: 1. Material Compatibility: Ensure the gasket material is compatible with the environment, such as resistance to oils, chemicals, UV rays, or extreme temperatures. 2. Compression Set: Avoid materials prone to losing elasticity or permanently deforming under prolonged compression, as this can compromise sealing performance. 3. Thickness and Density: Select a gasket with the appropriate thickness and density to provide adequate sealing without excessive compression force. 4. Durability and Aging: Check the material's resistance to wear, degradation, or shrinkage over time, especially for applications with frequent use or exposure to harsh conditions. 5. Precision in Design: Ensure the gasket dimensions, tolerances, and shape align perfectly with the application requirements to avoid leaks or improper fitting.

When designing PCB component openings, it's essential to consider the following key points: Three-dimensional dimensions of steel mesh openings: Ensure they are greater than specific standards related to pad size and component foot thickness to ensure good soldering effects. Opening area ratio: The ratio of opening area to opening hole wall area should be greater than 0.66 to optimize welding quality and production efficiency. Control of solder paste volume: Ensure the volume of solder paste is at least twice the volume of solder formed after reflow soldering to achieve good soldering effects. Requirements for special substrates: On special substrates, ensure to avoid short circuits between solder pastes after widening the openings and ensure the widened solder paste gap is at least four times the thickness of the solder paste. Adhering to these standards ensures ideal soldering effects and soldering quality

📏 Pinch Setting with Digital Vernier Caliper Supports Product Safety📏 Pinch setting is a crucial aspect of snap fastener installation, determined by the snap manufacturer based on the design of the parts. It involves measuring two components when they come together without fabric between them. The basic pinch, combined with the compressed foundation thickness, gives the setting pinch. This setting determines the minimum and maximum compressed fabric thickness where the snap will be located. These limits vary according to the snap size and type. For example, for a 16L Pearl Prong snap: Basic Pinch (0.190") + Compressed Foundation Thickness (0.015") = Setting Pinch (0.205") This total height of attached snap fasteners on fabric is crucial for ensuring proper functionality and durability. Understanding and adhering to these measurements is essential for maintaining quality standards in snap installation and also helps to meet the pull Test International standard. #QualityControl #SnapInstallation #FabricMeasurement #CredenceInspectionServices #Productsafety #Thridpartyinspection

Don't judge duct tape by its cover alone When it comes to choosing the right duct tape for the job, it's important to understand how they are tested and measured. Below are common tape performance characteristics to consider: · Thickness: Measured in mils, thickness (or gauge) is often thought of as a reflection of a tape's overall strength; however, it is not always indicative of a tape's adhesion or holding power. Thinner tapes are typically considered economy or utility grade and are recommended for everyday/general purpose use, whereas thicker tapes are often designed with thicker adhesive coatings and backings for heavier duty applications. · Adhesion to Steel (ATS): Measured in ounces per inch, adhesion to steel is the amount of force required to remove the tape once applied. The higher the number, the more force it takes to remove once applied. Keep in mind: adhesion to steel does not directly correlate to adhesion on other surfaces, such as brick or cardboard......
