Gen Z - Shaping the Next Generation of Talent   As the summer wraps up, I’ve taken some time to reflect on the invaluable experience spending the last months with my Gen Z interns. While internships are traditionally seen as a learning experience for students, I’ve very much enjoyed that it’s a two-way street: fresh perspectives and guidance through the critical stage of their professional journeys. Remembering what great managers I had as intern and working student across different countries and cultures. How to develop Gen Zs to take ownership of their growth and helping them cultivate the passion that drives exceptional work?   🤚Instilling a Sense of Ownership One of my priorities was teaching the value of ownership. I encouraged our interns to take full accountability for their projects, empowering them to make decisions and learn from both their successes and setbacks. Watching them step into that responsibility reaffirmed the importance of fostering autonomy in young professionals. 🔥Passion Fuels Excellence People thrive when their work aligns with what they care about. I emphasized the importance of finding purpose in what they do. By sharing my own experiences, I aimed to inspire them to see beyond tasks and focus on the bigger picture. 🧠Guiding Innovation with Accountability Gen Z is inherently adaptable and creative, but I sought to channel that potential into innovation grounded in accountability. Encouraging them to think boldly, while ensuring they owned the outcomes of their work, helped them develop a balance of creativity and responsibility - essential traits for future leaders. 🌱Nurturing Long-Term Professionalism For me it isn't just about guiding today — it’s about shaping the professionals of tomorrow. I hoped to lay the foundation for their long-term success, instilling values of ownership, passion, and accountability that will serve them throughout their careers.   Thank you to my exceptional interns Jade, Hilary, Hadley, and Erica - you’ve not only contributed to our success but have shown me that the future of our industry is in great hands.   #GenZ #Ownership #PassionDriven #FutureLeaders

🚀 Update from My Pinnacle Full Stack Internship! 🚀 I'm excited to share that I've completed Task 2 of the Pinnacle Full Stack Interns program! 🎉 This time, I tackled **Credit Card Fraud Detection**. The challenge involved analyzing transaction data, developing a robust machine learning model, and optimizing it to detect fraudulent activities with high accuracy. Key Learnings: - Importance of data preprocessing and feature selection. - Hands-on experience with anomaly detection algorithms. - Strategies for handling imbalanced datasets. International Students: your 2024 Summer internship is here, hopefully. Are you 200% clear on what is expected of you? If you are a software engineering intern, your raw coding output is for sure the the most important metric. Writing the code that eventually become good code is what is most important. At the end of your internship, someone will ask your manager, "can this kid write good code?" And the answer will be "yes" or "no". It will be very binary at that point, trust me. Details will not matter. The decision of whether or not to offer you a full-time job offer after your internship will be made in 4 sec. My point is: do you know what is really critical about your Summer internship? Are you sure you do know? No matter what your responsibilities are as an intern, focus on what matters, and aggressively eliminate distractions.
