📢 68% of HR professionals have not embraced the full potential for AI 📢 A quarter of HR departments (24%) have not been involved in conversations about adopting AI tech in their business. Yet HR Professionals DO recognise that AI could improve their departments 💡 74% of HR departments named admin or repetitive tasks as an area where AI could add value ✅ 59% identified that AI could help with data and analytics ✅ So, if it is recognised that AI can reduce the HR admin burden, boost HR efficiency and productivity, contributing to a happier and healthier workforce, why is it not happening?⁉️ I read recently that over 60% of HR professionals are on the verge of burnout 🔥 It's a vicious circle! AI provides a solution, but many HR professionals are stretched in SO many directions that they have not had time to understand AI or attend any meaningful training on it. Many HR staff don't put their own development first, they prioritise other people. The ask.... HR staff ➡️ find time to prioritise your own upskilling, invest time to find out more about AI and how AI can help you reduce your daily repetitive tasks, freeing you up to focus on the more important parts of your role. Ask lots of questions. Find out about how you can use AI in a safe and secure way, so personal information stays within your business only. Managers ➡️ lets support and encourage HR staff to explore AI. You are going to need them to be educated to work with your business and your IT team in the future. AI is not going away and it needs to be a joined up approach.

Human interaction is a critical component of HR because it fosters trust, builds relationships, and enables nuanced decision-making. While AI can enhance HR functions by providing efficiencies and data-driven insights, it must be used with clear ethical guidelines and limitations. Ultimately, AI should complement human interaction, not replace it, to ensure that HR remains a people-centered function. This balanced perspective highlights the irreplaceable value of human connection in HR while embracing AI as a tool for support, rather than a substitute for human involvement. Human interaction in HR allows for the expression of empathy and emotional intelligence, which are critical in understanding employee needs, resolving conflicts, and supporting personal development. AI may process data quickly, but it cannot truly replace the human capacity for compassion. Personal interactions, feedback, and communication between employees and HR help build a cohesive company culture. Culture is shaped by values, human behavior, and the personal touch in employee engagement — something that technology alone cannot cultivate.
