AIRMD - Disorder to Order: Streamlining Biomolecule Simulation Re-Use with FAIR NMRlipids database One of the 58 funded projects by OSCARS project is kicking off today! Disordered biomolecules, such as lipids and intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), are crucial to understanding cellular membranes and protein behaviours, yet standardised and accessible training data for these molecules is lacking. The FAIRMD project builds on the success of the NMRlipids Databank, which provides open access to molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of lipid bilayers. By expanding the database to include MD simulations of disordered proteins, and by improving its interoperability with existing public databases, FAIRMD aims to fill this gap, offering high-quality, FAIR data to support AI model development. Thank you Dr. Angelika Berger-Sodian and the AACA community for having me today. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with my academy mates. As I am passionate about Sustainable Mobility (an accessible, affordable and environmentally friendly mobility for all), I shared with the AACA community my thinking on how we can raise awareness about EVs amongst mainstream car buyers to accelerate EV adoption and help decarbonise the transport sector. -> I focused on the UK market, although, I think some key strategies and tactics can be applied to any market. -> EV adoption rate in the UK has reached a tipping point with over 16% of new car sales are electric vehicles, meaning that now we need to introduce EVs to mainstream car buyers who are less sustainability and technology motivated, have more concerns about charging infrastructure and generally less informed and more confused about EVs. -> I have introduced a concept of CHANGE, putting myself into consumers shoes. Transitioning to an EV brings change to the way people think about cars and how a car fits into people's day to day lives, and this change is scary. To deliver a positive change we need to excite people about opportunities EVs bring to individuals, households, society and address people's pain points and anxieties. -> I have introduced my 3Es strategies to increase awareness of EVs amongst mainstream car buyers, which are Excite, Engage and Educate. -> Excite people about costs benefits EVs can generate for households as in general it is cheaper to run an EV than a petrol car; an EV usage as a battery storage and a mobile power supply for household and sports equipment through a Vehicle to load technology - Excite beyond mobility! -> Engage people through offering them opportunity to drive an EV and get excited about its superior driving and technology within the car. More Test Drives for more people! -> Educate people about different charging options available to them, address their concerns about lack of public charging infrastructure by visualising public charging network on the map and offering a public charging aggregator service that provides access to multiple charging operators through one app, one card. #sustainability #electrification #changemanagement #passiontomaketheworldabetterplace
