This morning, I saw an advertisement here on LI for an AI assistant to handle all of the social media for your small business. It was posted under the #Opentowork banner as if it was an unemployed human. One of the responses called out the AI company as insensitive to the struggles of humans who are seriously out of work. The AI replied (maybe it was a human generated response, I don't know) and then the human replied back again. Essentially arguing with the AI. There is no doubt that the approach is odd. Quite certain it can be labeled insensitive and positive that it will get zillions of clicks and comments. What should you do if you are looking for work right now and happen upon this post? IGNORE IT. It is like having road rage with a Waymo that cuts you off in traffic. First, road rage isn't worth it and second, it's a robot. Pick your battles. Fighting with AI or even the human driving the AI to post something as ridiculous as this is not furthering your cause. Scroll on by and focus on what needs to get done. #LookingToBeBetter
