A Novel Approach to Soy Value Creation Soy remains the largest and most efficient source of plant-based protein in the world, but it has had limited R&D investment to increase any attribute beyond yield. We know that protein and yield are inversely correlated in the plant genome. Therefore, decades of breeding primarily for yield across the industry have resulted in decreased protein in commodity soybeans. Benson Hill’s approach to seed innovation is unique. We focus on soy quality traits like protein and oil content to address the demand of the end user and generate value across the agribusiness supply chain. Addressing that end-user demand is possible because of the depth of our soy database. Our technology and intellectual property include all the components necessary for rapid seed innovation for soy. With our technology platform and focus on soy quality traits, we can innovate faster, get to market more quickly, and minimize risk in the field. No one else in the industry has this focus and capability. #Innovation #Soybeans #Genetics #SoyQualityTraits

The agricultural landscape is increasingly turning to biological products as a sustainable solution to enhance crop yield, manage pests, and improve soil health. However, the effectiveness of these products can vary significantly depending on the specific conditions of each field. To harness the full potential of biologicals, it is crucial to integrate precise soil analysis into the decision-making process. 🔎🦠🌱 ➡️ Discover the five best practices for selecting and applying biological products effectively: https://hubs.la/Q02Td43x0 #biologicalproducts #soilanalysis #biologicals #soilbiology #precisionagriculture

Take your field to the next level with Bio Ag Management! The white material in this soil is mycelium. It’s commonly found in field rows that have been treated with Bio Ag E. Mycelium is important for breaking down debris, building soil structure and competing with soil disease, which in turn helps with plant nutrient uptake and root growth. . #BioAgManagement #biology #biologicals #agriculture #farmlife #farming #midwest #BioAgE #mycelium

The indica-sativa argument from the eyes of a geneticist. Daniela Vergara here is a copy-pasted definition of a chemovar to clarify its meaning: "A chemovar is a term used in the field of botany, particularly in the context of cannabis plants. It refers to a specific chemical variation or chemical phenotype within a plant species, specifically cannabis, that is characterized by its unique combination and levels of chemical compounds, such as cannabinoids (e.g., THC and CBD) and terpenes. These variations in chemical composition can result in distinct effects, flavors, and therapeutic properties in cannabis strains, even within the same plant species. A chemovar is essentially a way to categorize cannabis plants based on their chemical profiles, rather than solely on their genetic or physical characteristics." Future Cannabis Project #thedankhour
