Road To LEGACY
The excitement is rising as we gear up for tomorrow’s Aalborg BK match in the 3F Superliga! The international break has given us the chance to reflect on the first half of the season and critically assess our progress, especially in terms of player development! Aalborg BK has a clear strategy focused on bringing young talents from North Jutland and Aalborg into Portland Park to not only join the professional squad but to make a real impact. These players aren’t just there to fill the squad — they are expected to become key contributors and play a pivotal role in the team’s success. Giving them valuable minutes on the pitch and integrating them as essential parts of the first team is a core part of the club’s philosophy. We are proud that the hard work of our staff at Hornevej is already paying off this season, and we’re starting to see the first successes on this path! Watch the video to hear what James Gow and Julius Nagel have to say about this approach. But what excites us the most is hearing young players like Oliver Ross and Mads Bomholt share their experiences, paving the way for future talents from our academy. We’re especially proud of their words, because ultimately, everything we do at the club is for them and our fans!

As you might already know I am loyal supporter of the Brisbane Broncos since the early '90s. Like 100,000’s of others, I've witnessed the exhilarating highs of the 90s and 2000’s and just last year, the challenging lows, and every year in between, that come with being part of such a storied club. This season, despite all of OUR collective expectations, it didn’t unfold with a finals finish. However, I firmly believe that it’s in these challenging moments where true character and resilience are forged. The cartoon by Brett Lethbridge in today’s Sunday Mail while humourous, captures a moment of reflection that resonates deeply—not just for our players and coaches, but it should be for all of us who stand by this club. It’s easy to be disappointed when things don’t go our way, especially after the high of last year’s grand final. Yet, I choose to focus on the positives: the moments of joy, the lessons we've learned, the growth we've experienced, and the unwavering passion that continues to drive every member of the Broncos community. In both sports and life, success is rarely a straight line. It’s about how we adapt, learn, and come back stronger. I have no doubt that our team will use this season as an opportunity to reflect, regroup, and refocus on what it takes to climb back to the top. Let’s continue to support our team whether it be your family, friends or colleagues—not only in moments of triumph but also when our resolve is tested. After all, it’s resilience that separates the good from the great, and I firmly believe the Brisbane Broncos are destined for greatness. I watched 50+ golfers struggle yesterday. Here's the twist: They all had the right advice. 99% ignored it. The scene: Lancaster Country Club, The Host of the 2024 LPGA event Conditions: Brutal wind, 150-yard hole playing like 180 My advice: "Use your 180-yard club." Most players: • Nodded • Switched to their 165-yard club • Still came up short Why? It didn't look that far. They couldn't fully commit. Sound familiar? In business, we often: • Hear great advice • Partially implement it • Wonder why we're not seeing results The few who listened? On the green. Putting for birdie. Your challenge: Identify one piece of advice you've been half-following. Commit to it 100% this week. Watch what happens. What advice will you fully embrace? #BusinessStrategy #GrowthMindset #TakeAction #SethLewis

🚀 **Embracing the Journey: Lessons from Gareth Southgate and the England Football Team** 🚀 As we reflect on the journey of Gareth Southgate and the England football team, there's a profound lesson in their relentless pursuit of a major trophy. Despite the heartbreaks and near misses, their story is one of resilience, determination, and the unwavering belief that success is just around the corner. 🏆 **Persistence Overcomes All Obstacles** 🏆 It's easy to get disheartened when the ultimate goal seems just out of reach. Yet, Southgate and his team exemplify the importance of never giving up. They remind us that: - **Consistency**: Continually showing up and giving your best effort, day in and day out, is crucial. - **Determination**: Even when the odds are stacked against you, it's your inner drive that pushes you forward. - **Mindset**: Cultivating a winning mindset means embracing challenges, learning from failures, and always striving for excellence. These principles apply not just to football but to every aspect of our lives. Whether you're aiming to achieve a personal milestone, advance in your career, or conquer a new challenge, it's this unyielding spirit that propels you forward. 🌟 **Dream Big and Dare to Succeed** 🌟 It's only through stepping outside our comfort zones and daring to dream that we open the door to incredible opportunities. Just like the England team, we might face setbacks, but it's the courage to keep going that defines our journey. So, let's take inspiration from Southgate and his squad. Let's continue to push our boundaries, stay consistent, and maintain a positive mindset. Because success is not just about the final achievement—it's about the journey, the growth, and the unwavering belief that one day, we too will lift our version of the cup. #NeverGiveUp #Resilience #Determination #WinningMindset #DreamBig #SuccessJourney #UEFA #Football #GarethSouthgate #England

Winning in front of millions is great. Winning with integrity is unforgettable. In the 2017 Super Series Finals, Viktor Axelsen gave us a masterclass in sportsmanship. After a tight moment when he touched the net, which the umpire missed, Axelsen made a choice: he handed his opponent the next point. It was a high-stakes match. Winning meant everything. But he put fairness above all else. Axelsen won the match, but it was his decision to stay honest that made an impression. It’s a lesson in integrity that can apply to us all—whether on the court or in the workplace. We might not control every outcome, but we always control our response: ☑ Do the right thing, even when it’s tough. ☑ Stay fair, even if it means giving something up. ☑ Lead by example, consistently. Your actions speak louder than words. When faced with the choice, will you let integrity guide you? #motivation #inspiration #culture #future #integrity

What are you seeking? On Memorial Day of 1999, my wife and I witnessed what is now called the Memorial Day Miracle. We attended the San Antonio Spurs game against the Portland Trailblazers. It was game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. At the time we lived in Dallas, but we had previously spent six years living in San Antonio and if you lived in San Antonio, it was hard not to fall in love with the Spurs and love them I did! 9 seconds left in the game, Spurs are down by 2. Sean Elliot takes the pass, steps behind the 3-point line and nearly steps out of bounds, he launches the shot and he hits it! Spurs up by 1 and the place went crazy! I mean absolute pandemonium crazy that just wouldn't stop. The Spurs won the game and went on to win their first ever NBA title. Why is this moment so memorable for me? Because I had witnessed a 'moment of excellence' and to this day I still get excited when I see the video. We're all seeking something, aren't we? Some seek perfection, that can be limiting. Some seek comfort, that can become boring. At times I've sought money and things, those are temporal. I've learned that titles can be false peaks. All of these things have their place, their time and a degree of value, but what really gets me excited is seeking a life of excellence. I think its a natural human drive to constantly be seeking something bigger, something more impactful, seeking to live a life that matters. The name I give this is 'seeking excellence' and to me nothing is more beautiful than seeing someone achieve a moment of excellence or even better, to live a life of excellence. Otherwise, why would we be so fascinated with sports figures that perform in a way that captures the imagination- Michael Jordan and his 6 NBA Championships, Serena Williams and her 23 Major Tennis Tournament Titles or Sean Elliot and the Memorial Day Miracle back in 1999. I think about it this way, 'I've been called to a Life of Excellence' and to me it's the first step of leaning into my process of becoming and living toward a bigger and more impactful life. How about you? What are you seeking?

It really is bizarre, upon reflection, just how much of an achievement some successes in life have been, when you revisit them months or even perhaps years later. On 18th May this year, Hamilton Academical Football Club Limited secured promotion from Scottish Professional Football League 1 back to the William Hill Championship at the first time of asking - a feat only ever managed by three other Clubs: - Airdrieonians FC (2012/13) - Raith Rovers Football Club (2009/10) - Queen of the South Football Club Limited (2008/09) That fine summers day at Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club will live with me, forever. Eventually, you will always see who was really with you, who is actually on your journey with you; and who is genuinely happy for your success. 😊 Proper rebuilds of the magnitude that we undertook at Hamilton Academical Football Club Limited in League 1 require a real solid foundation, and thankfully, this is something that our Club owner was prepared to invest in and be committed to from Day 1. Almost every role or Department requiring to be enhanced or upgraded within the Club has been since the new owner took over, affording us a platform to continue with our growth and progression towards the new vision. We thankfully have so many good, quality people around us, working to achieve a shared common goal. 🙏🏼 As the old saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a Day”…. But if anyone has ever been to Rome, then they’ll know that it’s been built on solid ground and the best of foundations. There will be blips along the way….. but it’s reassuring to know that we’re all with and behind each other on this new, exciting journey. 💫 #Success #Vision #NewEra #BigDecisions #Change #Awareness #Development #Growth #Football Seref Zengin Hamilton Academical Football Club Limited Gerry Strain Darian Mackinnon Shaun Fagan John Rankin Caitlin Wright Euan Taylor Declan McKean
