From programmable assets to intelligent assets Last week at Berlin Safecon, NEAR Foundation CEO Illia Polosukhin talked about various ways AI and web3 could interact The first wave of DeFi adoption introduced the concept of programmable assets Programmable Assets react deterministically to a change of state in the blockchain This is working very well (think of Uniswap Labs, OpenSea), but the scope of what this assets can do is limited. Do x, and get y. Intelligent Assets dramatically expand the domain of what crypto assets can do. Examples: - intelligent contracts, capable of navigating the web and processing natural language - tokens that adapt to users actions off-chain and on-chain (airdrops, credit risk) - AI driven monetary polices, codified inside the assets Other than Near, there are a lot of players emerging in this domain ( GenLayer's Edgars Nemše).
