The second goal of the "Our Endeavors for Youth and Development" Foundation is to promote leadership and community participation, and this goal is essential in empowering young men and women to take on greater responsibilities in their communities and contribute effectively to achieving sustainable development. This goal focuses on building the capacities of young people to become influential leaders and active participants in community and local decision-making. This goal includes several key areas: Developing leadership skills, activating the role of youth in local governance, and holding conferences and workshops on community leadership. Through these efforts, the "Masa'ina" Foundation works to empower young men and women to become active leaders in their communities, capable of bringing about positive change and promoting sustainable community development. The institution aims to create a generation of aware and responsible youth who actively participate in the development of their community and the achievement of development goals. #Masaena_Foundation_for_youth_and_Development #WeStriveForYou

The amazing seanna davidson and Dana Shen are delivering their Systems Leadership Program for 2025! Both seanna and Dana are amazing systems leaders. I know seanna more, so I can speak to her depth of knowledge in systems leadership and her warmth, kindness, curiosity and wisdom as a human and as a teacher. Our conversations traverse the gamut of the meaning of life, to bringing down systems of oppression, to tracking the genealogy of how dominant groups created the systems we currently live in. If these kind of conversations and questions appeal to you then you should APPLY! The program invites to reimagine and work towards the personal goals you want to achieve as a systems leader. You will develop your system knowledge and wisdom on key system practice topics across the themes of: being, doing, relating, knowing, thinking and perceiving and expand your systems leadership skills. https://lnkd.in/gJgXdKck #systems #systemsleadership #systemschange #socialchange

Thursday nov 7th 1pm-2pm AEDT, register here https://lnkd.in/gNgxJuug current participant Steph Mudie, Senior Project Officer, DHS South Australia shared this about her experience: "dana and seanna work seamlessly together to provide a grounded, safe and authentic learning environment and over time a community of people who looked forward to learning about themselves at a deeper level - anchoring themselves in a mindful presence, opening up to learning, sharing ideas, concepts, frameworks about systems thinking and the personal and professional struggles and successes in maximising impact for the betterment of society across various complex systems."

AYAC is pleased to launch our youth leadership report: Councils, committees, and YAGs (oh my!): On formal youth leadership. The report was structured around three research questions: 1. What is youth leadership? 2. What ‘works’ in youth leadership? 3. How might we best meet future youth leadership needs? For this report, we primarily focused on formal youth leadership – think student representative councils, youth advisory groups, youth parliaments, and the like. A review of research literature, an online youth survey, and consultation with young people helped to inform the report's findings. At Service Academy, we believe that every young person has the potential to lead change in their communities. But too often, barriers like lack of access, resources, or support stand in the way. That's why we're on a mission to create pathways for youth leadership through service. By providing mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and platforms for impact, we can help young people discover their unique strengths and put them into action. But we can't do it alone. It takes a village to raise up the next generation of changemakers. So, we want to know: What role can you play in empowering youth leaders? Whether you're a parent, educator, community member, or fellow youth advocate, your support matters. Share your ideas and commitments here: https://lnkd.in/esidyDdd - Ryan & Thomas Growney SG’24 #NewServiceAcademy Image description: A desaturated photographic image of five teens laying on their backs shouting and smiling, with the words "How can we empower more young people to become community leaders?" and the Service Academy logo overlaid.
