Your resume is more than just a list of jobs—it's a snapshot of your career journey. 🛤️ A good resume doesn't just highlight your skills and experience; it tells a story of who you are as a professional. Every role, project, and accomplishment contributes to the bigger picture. So, take a step back and ask yourself: What’s the throughline that connects the dots between roles? What types of projects am I consistently asked to take on? What problems do I consistently solve? What am I most proud of? What's the legacy I want to have? What have I learned, and how have I grown along the way? A resume should be a reflection of you—not just a laundry list of tasks. It's your personal brand in one document. Make it count. #ResumeTips #PersonalBranding #CareerGrowth #TheJobGirl

I love to read. So when I look at a resume, I read a story, connect the dots, and see where this persons professional journey took them before they ended up on my desk. I start by reading from the bottom, and work my way to the present. 💃🏻 PIVOT If you are looking for a new opportunity and starting to create your resume, take a moment to think about the story you are looking to share about your experience. Some things to think about… 👉🏼what does your resume say about your journey? Was it one long path in the same direction, or did you get on and off exits trying new destinations? 👉🏼have you included alll of the important details that will give the reader a clear idea of why your experience would be right for the position they are hiring for? 👉🏼are you trying to cover something up that you don’t want anyone to see, and in the process leaving out information that could be relevant to the position? You are allowed to represent your experience however you want. If you want to leave off the date of your college graduation and the first 10 years of your career, then go for it. But, keep in mind, while you are trying to get your foot in the door without being judged by your age, you could be setting yourself up for being disqualified because the parts you left out were the parts that they were looking for. 🤷♀️ Be true to yourself. 🦋 #beyou #ageism #jobsearchtips #resumetips

There was a time I thought the answers to my career struggles were out there. I spent hours searching for the perfect job, the right timing, or a mentor to guide me. I believed that was what was missing But the more I searched, the more stuck I felt Then I asked myself: What if the answers weren’t outside? What if I could create the opportunities I was waiting for? That’s when it hit me. The career I wanted wouldn’t come from waiting. It had to start with me. I shifted my mindset and focused on what I could control my attitude my choices Opportunities didn’t just appear. I created them by changing how I approached my career. Sometimes, it’s not about changing your situation. It’s about changing how you see it, how you present it. If you’re feeling stuck, ask yourself: Is it your situation, or is it how you're telling your story? Or Is your resume not showing your capabilities, what you have achieved and what you can do? Is your cover letter doing you justice? All you need is a new revamped ATS Resume, and I am here to work on your resume. #resumewriting #coverletterwriting #Getyourdreamjob.

Your resume is an opportunity to tell your story and highlight what sets you apart. Here are a few tips that might help: PERSONAL TOUCH: A strong summary at the top can grab attention. Just a couple of sentences about who you are and what you bring to the table can make a big difference. YOUR UNIQUE SKILLS: Instead of just listing your skills, explain how they make you distinct. Maybe you have a unique combination of experiences that others might not have. NUMBERS: Adding numbers to your achievements can be very effective. Use percentages, targets, and other metrics to quantify your success. PASSION PROJECTS: If you’ve worked on any side projects or done volunteer work, include those. They can highlight your dedication and personality. TARGET INDUSTRY FOCUS: It might take a little extra effort, but tailoring your resume for your target industry really pays off. Research the specific skills, keywords, and trends most relevant to your desired field. What makes you unique? #resume #resumewritingtips #resumetips #beyourself #jobsearch #JosephGioveServices
