On this World Oceans Day 2024, we are proud to highlight one of our most significant projects this year: the successful installation of a complete set of “Ambon Aggregation and Recycling Center”, supported by USAID Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO). Instead of just doing beach clean-up, we have successfully established: 📍 12 coastal collection points throughout Ambon Island 🏝 Allowing the coastal communities to collect and sell the waste to Recovered Indonesia to be responsibly processed and recycled. At RECO, we are striving for long-term and bigger impact for our environment and ocean, because we are more than aware that to save our ocean, we must start on land. Happy World Ocean Day 2024 🌊 #RecoveredIndonesia #RethinkRedefineRecovered #Sustainability #WorldOceansDay #CircularEconomy #PlasticRecycling

In today's throw away culture, we often forget that our garbage doesn’t simply vanish. It ends up in landfills, gets incinerated, or finds its way into our oceans. 🌊 “There is no such thing as ‘away’. When we throw anything away, it must go somewhere.” – Annie Leonard, Executive Director of Greenpeace USA Lets end the throwing away thinking, and have a mindset that things were built to last. 1️⃣ Reduce your consumption. ⬇ 2️⃣ For the things you can't reduce, reuse or repurpose them. 🔄 3️⃣ If you have done these first two things above, then something needs to be wasted, recycle them. ♻️ Together, we can build a world where things are made to last. 🌱 Email us to learn more about our initiatives at Recovered Indonesia and how you can make a difference: info.reco@recovered.id #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #WasteReduction #PlasticFreeJuly #RecoveredIndonesia #RethinkRedefineRecovered

Achievement | I am really honored to be YEAH delegate! Last year 2023, I was selected as one of the delegates of YEAH program_(Youth for Environmental Action and Hope) which is organized by Prevent Plastics and @Thant Myanmar. The program took for 4 months and coverd a wide range of topics: circular green economy, waste management, wildlife, marine life, air and water pollution and so on. One thing I'd like to mention is that we, all the delegates got a chance to draw and pitch our ideal project related to YEAH program's theme and implement it in our respective regions. For implementation, YEAH also provided a small grant. As s reflection stage, we all also had to write a report. I also implemented one project named EquiVerse. Now I've already done everything and became former delegate of YEAH program. To recap this journey, I have learnt the word " sustainability " in detail and gained knowledge about different kinds of topics mentioned above, especially being aware of plastic waste as well as pollution. And then I started changing my behavior that can adversely impact on environment and became more responsible person. #YEAH #Sustainbility #Achievement

Why is it so hard for Indonesians to sort waste? 🤔 Most Indonesians haven’t adopted the habit of sorting waste at home. At Recovered Indonesia (RECO), we’re committed to changing that by raising awareness through regular training, workshops in coastal communities, as well as through our social media. Our mission is to implement proper waste management not just to major cities, but to remote coastal areas across Indonesia, especially outside Java province. 🌊 Through our decentralized waste management solutions and recovery centers, we’re making recycling available for everyone, everywhere. ♻️ Join us in solving Indonesia’s waste problems, one city at a time. AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. If every individual in this world is educated to care for the environment, can prevent these consequences. BPA gets released in water, which disrupts the endocrine functions attributing to potential harm in reproductive, neurological and immune functions. We tend to inhale and consume the same in some other way. BPA which is added for the strength of the polymer is still present as nano particles in purified bottled water which also tends to bind antibiotics and other pollutants when in contact with fluids. So, when u throw your coffee cup next time, be sensible. Sort your trash and dispose.

Yeayyy! I met new friends at Climate Fresk Indonesia - Institut Français Indonesia while learning more deeply about the cause-and-effect relationships of various factors contributing to climate change in a very fun metode. Not only that, this activity also hones our skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork. So, what simple things can we do to reduce climate change? Yes, by saving water and electricity, planting trees, reducing plastic use, and many more. Personally, I’ve already planted mangrove trees and recycled my plastic waste to Rekosistem. How about you? 🌬️Let's take action together to reduce climate change. If not now, then when?! “Love the environment, and it will protect you.”♻️🌊🌏🌳 #ClimateFresk #ReduceClimateChange #ClimateRanger #Mangrove #Rekosistem
