"In our journey toward healing and empowerment, the role of community support cannot be overstated. It is within the fabric of our communities that we find the strength, encouragement, and solidarity needed to overcome life's challenges. To effectively harness this powerful resource, we can adopt several key strategies. By creating robust support networks, offering educational workshops and outreach programs, and promoting inspiring stories of recovery, we can cultivate a nurturing environment where individuals feel empowered and supported every step of the way. Emphasizing the importance of community support in the journey of healing and empowerment can be approached through various strategies. Here are three effective ones: 1. **Creating Support Networks** - **Support Groups:** Organize regular meetings where individuals can share experiences and challenges, fostering belonging and mutual support. - **Mentorship Programs:** Pair individuals with mentors who offer guidance, coping strategies, and emotional support, reinforcing communal healing. 2. **Educational Workshops and Outreach** - **Workshops:** Educate on the benefits of social connections, how to build support networks, and seek help from the community. - **Outreach Programs:** Connect individuals with local resources and services, making support more accessible through partnerships with local organizations and mental health services. 3. **Promoting Stories of Recovery and Empowerment** - **Success Stories:** Share stories of those who have healed with community support through newsletters, social media, or events. - **Peer Testimonials:** Encourage individuals to share their experiences at gatherings or through media, inspiring others with the power of community support. These strategies highlight the value of community support and foster environments where it thrives, aiding healing and empowerment. #CommunitySupport #HealingJourney #Empowerment #SupportNetworks #EducationalWorkshops #OutreachPrograms #RecoveryStories #MentalHealth #BrooksCounselingServices #WeHelpYouRightWhereYouAre #TogetherWeHeal #StrengthInCommunity #EmpowerEachOther #SupportAndSolidarity

Thinking this morning around how important and vital the Mental Health community needs to always be open and should drive their work around partnerships. Meaningful partnerships can serve as a powerful catalyst for growth and impact. Collaborating with like-minded organisations, such as non-profits, community centers, government, or research institutions, allows mental health workplaces to expand their reach and resources beyond what they could achieve alone. I believe such partnerships foster a sense of unity and solidarity within the mental health ecosystem, breaking down silos and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. By pooling resources and expertise, organisations can amplify their efforts in advocacy, education, and service delivery, ultimately making a more significant impact on the well-being of individuals and communities. Through meaningful partnerships, the journey toward destigmatizing mental health, improving access to care, and promoting holistic wellness becomes not just a solitary endeavor, but a collective mission driven by shared values and collaboration. #Collaboration #MentalHealthSupport #Partnerships #WorkingTogether #OneGoal

Last night I attended the launch event of a new mental health support book with a new model that's innovative and can be used over many different subjects. People in attendance and supporting this new book launch were from all walks of life, however some of them were; Rory from Touchstone Support - Mental Health Charity, who provide #health and #wellbeing services to over 10,000 people in #diverse communities across #Yorkshire every year. Christian was also in attendance, a #MentalHealth #FirstAid England instructor member and provider of the upcoming online #FirstAidCourse that I posted about last week. The event not only consisted of a usual book launch table for sales, but also involved a workshop of the principles behind the Realcovery Model, Breakout groups to share experiences and thoughts, live music, and much more. If anyone is interested in any of the above, please find the links below: Buy the Realcovery Book online: https://lnkd.in/ewPh9rWi Mental Health First Aid Course: Equifinality.uk@gmail.com Christian Smith - Next online course starts on Saturday 12th October (MHFAider certification) Toushstone Support: https://lnkd.in/eUJyZiFM Image Description: An image of people sat around in a circle in a large room. The text says The Realcovery book launch event. A model to help you feel better and support you with your mental health. There is then a quote of a previous head teacher that says, This should be added to the KS4 curriculum as a course text. The Bnode logo is in the bottom right of the image that says Digital Done Right.

A really powerful study illustrating the importance and contributions of the third sector.
Over the past three months, I have conducted interviews with participants of groups that have received funding through the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing fund. The purpose of these interviews was to determine the significance of the fund to South Lanarkshire's Third Sector. I am pleased to present the Case Study Impact Report, which features compelling stories that illustrate the life-saving efforts of our third sector organisations. This report showcases the invaluable contributions made by these groups in improving the mental health and well-being of our community. 🚀 🚀 🚀 What does #Hypergrowth mean to YOU?? 🫵🫵🫵 For my peers and friends in #venturecapital #VC and #startupnation it is sweet music. 🎶 🎼📈 BUT… For most dedicated #nonprofit leaders and volunteers, it’s almost unheard of. Can actually be scary. 🤩🥰 The Good News? The leading #mentalhealth NGO in #Israel and the team at Kav L'Noar has achieved Hypergrowth. 🥹🫣 The Bad News? You guessed it… The sector of #emotionalresilience and the dire needs all around #mentalwellness are skyrocketing. Check this link for a taste of things to come (note the staggering $50 BILLION… dollars not shekels): https://shorturl.at/6jIiv Like in all challenges, our country WILL overcome. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Meanwhile get ready for the realization that YOUR greatest impact on Israeli society in the next 5 years will likely be in some form of support for the Social Healthcare such as the example below. 🌿Mental Health IS Health – Protect Funding 🌿 Bradford District and Craven Mind are deeply concerned about the potential removal of the Mental Health Investment Standard (MHIS) by Keir Starmer and Wes Streeting. This funding is crucial for local mental health services. Losing it would harm millions waiting for support. Take action: 👉 Like, save, or share this post. 👉 Comment and tag Keir Starmer and The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP. Mental health needs fair funding. Let’s stand together to protect it. Our CEO Helen Davey said: "I am astounded and dismayed to think that in the face of the growing mental health crisis both in need and acuity that the government are even considering the removal of the Mental Health Investment Standard (MHIS). "Mental health services are already under massive pressure and waiting lists keep growing, the removal of the MHIS would drastically impact on the support and help people in our communities will receive." #MentalHealthIsHealth #InvestInMentalHealth #MindCharity #YourLocalMind
