Job descriptions should not be used when posting a job, period. Facts, agencies are using job ads as personal brand advertising or just a lazy solution to filling roles. For me I feel like this is a complete scam to clients, why? ➡️ Anyone can post a job ad and filter through applications. ➡️ Where is the value add to a client with being an admin person? ➡️ It's just lazy. What am I doing thats different? ➡️ With over 10,000 connections across the industry ➡️ Staple black book of high end talent I already work with and have clear understandings of their expectations in their next role. ➡️ I headhunt and hand pick - you're paying for a tailored service that is niche to your brand. The reality is anyone can post a job ad and you're coming to an agency to add value. Most of the time the best talent for you probably isn't actively on the market but my candidates have trust in me to bring roles to them that align with what they want if they was to move. #Recruiters - Have we lost our creativity?.... I'm referring to Job Ads. After the usual 'doomscroll' through LinkedIn this morning, wading through the standard top quality content....(Note - you can turn off Autoplay' on videos that are on your feed - probably the best setting on #LinkedIn), I see the usual recruitment posts with accompanying jobs ads. We've all been guilty of it and this isn't sector specific, but, are we all playing a constant game of 'Buzzword Bingo' when we're attempting to advertise our jobs? I don't remember the last job post that genuinely jumped out at me or made me look through the eyes of the #Candidate and be genuinely intrigued by what I see. (I'm also humbly including myself..) For example: - How can EVERY company be 'award winning'? (What awards have they won?) - What exactly is a 'forward thinking' company? (And where are they forward thinking to?) - Is it possible that there is a #Sales role out there that ISN'T 'fast paced'? Why are 90% of your #Estate #Agency roles 'Monday to Friday only'? and.... Why does every one of your sales jobs pay 6 figures?.... Surely, with the multitude of tech we have access to and the knowledge we already have, we can write better, more engaging, more interesting and more creative copy?....
