Rec Room’s Post

Yasmin Hussain, our Head of Trust & Safety at Rec Room, took part in a panel at Meta Connect to discuss how we work to actively cultivate positive multiplayer experiences for our community. She was joined by industry experts like Weszt Hart from Riot Games// Fair Play Alliance and Dr. Tammy Lin, exploring the importance of thoughtful design in multiplayer environments. Even subtle design choices - like high fives, friendly facial expressions, and grounding players in familiar spaces - can make an impact on fostering positive play. A big thank you to Blake H. for moderating such an engaging discussion! The full webinar will be available to watch on demand soon.

Rec Room is awesome, a hidden gem that became a favorite. I've made great content on my channel from playing the horror and other genres of mini games. The sound design is a massive well done like whoever is in charge of that I would appreciate the social media manager thanking them for me, fun game🌟

Thank you Yasmin and Rec Room team for such an inspiring conversation. Sharing those subtle proofpoints helped our audience understand that designing for positive play means more (and is more fun) than just implementing codes of conduct and reporting. Keep up the great work!
