When WilderTrips applied for Ignite's Pre-Accelerator back in December 2023, I promised myself I'd share our pitch deck if we were successful in the hope that it may help others. We're now Ignite's prestigious Pre-Accelerator along with 14 other startups based in the North East. Yesterday's announcement went way beyond our expectations! It's beautiful to realize during these public moments, how many people we got in touch with over the last few months and how many people genuinely support us. Thanks to everyone. You probably already know what's the news: we finally announced our pre-seed round. 1.6M to invest in expanding and strengthening Zefi.ai, grow our team, and bring a great product to the market. But fundraising is just what you see on the front. A LinkedIn post is just a summary of days and nights designing, coding, selling and tweaking our solution to discover what is really valuable for our users. This journey couldn't have been possible without every one of Zefi's founders. The incredible strength and resilience that we showed during these past months convinced everyone around us of what we are capable of doing. Keeping the morale constantly high is crucial to keeping a company running and building momentum, being 5 certainly helps. Aside from my amazing cofounders, I want to thank other specific people who were invaluable to this process: - Raffaele Terrone, for believing in Zefi (and me) from day -1. His push and support was decisive during these months - Fausto Maglia, for spending so many hours with me giving precious feedback on our roadmap and refining my product skills - Riccardo Russo, for taking time to talk every week and keeping in touch so often. "No moments" go down easily when you have someone to talk openly - Giuseppe Della Corte, whose stunning insights on my life often surprise me. He's constantly amazed about what I do and gives me constant morale boosts. A last thank you to all of our investors and to the whole Italian community of founders to which I feel strongly connected. It's time to bring our national startups up to an international standard. To me, doing startup it's not just about creating something valuable for people but also inspire others to do the same. I hope many more fundraising announcements will follow in our ecosystem attracting international capital! Never accept anything less than you deserve.
