Fincra Secures IMTO License, Expanding Cross-Border Payment Capabilities Previously only able to provide local payment solutions for business, Nigerian fintech, Fincra has secured an International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) license from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This license allows Fincra to integrate cross-border payment services into its product offerings, enabling efficient international transactions for the Nigerian diaspora and local consumers. The approval follows a rigorous review and approval process by the CBN ensuring compliance with international financial standards and enhancing the security of transactions. The company is also broadening its service portfolio by introducing a Multicurrency Account, and a USD card-acquiring service. The new service is expected to facilitate foreign currency transactions for businesses and individuals by offering USD-enabled cards, further simplifying financial operations. Fincra joins a group of fintech companies Nigerian fintechs like Flutterwave, Paystack, and Remita that have been granted an IMTO license by the CBN. With the new IMTO licence, Fincra aims to expand its operations in Nigeria and offer a broader range of services tailored to the needs of both the Nigerian diaspora and local consumers. #Fincra #Fintech #InternationalPayments #CBN #Innovation #FinancialServices #CrossBorderPayments

The CBUAE's new Token Payment Services Regulation seems to have created quite a stir not least because of the apparent restrictions it places on the use of cryptocurrencies. However, the really interesting developments may actually happen behind closed doors as the biggest promoters of virtual assets, the Financial Free Zones and VARA, head to to Al Bateen for 'discussions'. As I've always advocated, there are inherent weaknesses in the application of the legal and regulatory infrastructure that currently exists between onshore jurisdictions in the UAE. This may just bring that whole 'tolerated practices' nonsense to a head.

⚜️CBDC Sandbox ! What's next 🤯 📚▪️Global bank messaging network SWIFT is planning a new platform in the next 1-2 years to connect the wave of CBDCs now in development to the existing finance system. 🔻SWIFT's main advantage though is that its existing network is already usable in over 200 countries and connects more than 11,500 banks 🏦 and funds who use it to send trillions of dollars every day. 💡▪️The idea is that once the interlink solution is scaled-up, banks would have one main global connection point able to handle digital asset payments, rather than thousands if they were to set up an individual one with every counterparty. ▪️Bank of Algeria بنك الجزائر . ▪️Le Conseil National Economique Social et Environnemental .
