Red Latinoamericana de Futuros’ Post

Wrapping up the whirlwind of the year, this week I had the privilege of attending the Dubai Future Forum, the annual event that gathers futurists, foresight professionals, thought leaders, innovators, and policymakers from around the globe to discuss and shape the future of, well, practically everything! A huge thanks to the DUBAI FUTURE FOUNDATION for making it possible. I can’t quite find the right words to capture everything I felt, thought, and reflected on during the sessions, workshops, and conversations. So many lessons, moments of inspiration, and shifts in perspective. What excited me the most, however, was seeing so many people—each from their own specialties, viewpoints, and regions—working tirelessly to design and build better futures. And, of course, I loved seeing and spending time with some of the amazing members of the Latin American Futures Network (Red Latinoamericana de Futuros). This year’s themes were: 🌿 Futuring Nature 👨👦 Empowering Generations 🩺 Optimizing Health 🧘♀️ Transforming Humanity 💡 Foresight Insights So much to reflect on, so much to ponder and act upon—especially on what it means to be a futurist, what our role and responsibilities are, and most importantly, how we turn inspiring visions into actionable strategies. After all, the futures we dream of are being written today. The time was far too short to connect with everyone, but I hope we can stay in touch. Until next time, Dubai. ✨ See you in the future!
