Some top cold calling tips: - Smile, it comes through in your tone of voice. - Pre-empt what the outcome of the call will be. "My job is to see if we could be an appropriate fit, if it is something I think we can help with, the next stage is to speak with one of our specialists..." - Get information from every call, confirm email addresses, phone numbers, when the best time is to catch them etc. - Call before 9 and after 5 for C suite - HEAR what they are going through, are they in the car? Are their kids in the background? Pre-empt them saying "it's not a good time". - Mention relevant companies, if you're trying to get into Microsoft, don't talk about the work you did with Tesco. - Have a cheat sheet of go-to questions that you can refer to quickly if you sense the conversation drying up. - Get them to accept the invitation. "Do me a huge favour, when you see the invite come through, if you could just click accept to confirm your availability, that would be greatly appreciated." If it's not in their calendar, it doesn't exist. #coldcalling #sdr #bdr #salescoaching
