American Red Cross of Arizona & New Mexico’s Post

Have you ever heard of a Donut Dolly? Learn about these women in war zones. The roar of helicopters overhead and the dense, humid air of Vietnam was a far cry from the classrooms of the University of North Carolina, where Paige Dempsey had studied French and Spanish. Yet, in 1970, Paige found herself in the heart of a war zone, armed not with weapons but with creativity, resilience, and a canvas bag full of props. Check out Paige’s incredible story as a Donut Dolly during the Vietnam War. Written by volunteer, Mike Sagara https://lnkd.in/gR64fPvC
