Redemption Roasters’ Post

We've worked hard to ensure a link up between our in-custody training and providing opportunities upon release within our 13 shops in London☕️ We caught up with O, one of our employed Participants to hear about his journey from prison to working in one our shops. In October 2022, O completes our three week barista course in HMP Pentonville; mainly because he has heard you get to drink a lot of coffee! In February 2023, following a transfer to HMP High Down, O completes our barista and technician training, before becoming a mentor for subsequent courses, helping the trainers deliver their programmes. Following release and community training, he joins the Redemption Roasters team as an employee in March 2024. O is a great example of someone who has taken the opportunity presented to him and continues to go from strength to strength as he seeks a more positive future for himself. Always great to read posts about how companies give #secondchances to incarcerated and released people. Whether it is #DutchCellDogs, #RedemptionRoasters or our company, #Televerde, all stories are inspirational!
