Sri-Kumar, President of Sri-Kumar Global Strategies: - He anticipates that the first rate cut will not occur before November. - In the event of a "Credit Event" in 2025, he predicts the Fed will aggressively cut rates, marking the start of a rally. Meanwhile, according to CME's FedWatch Tool, the market is currently forecasting a 100% probability of a rate cut in September, with a 70% chance that the cut will be 50 basis points. Really thrilled to see an article I heavily contributed to published in the latest edition of the annual EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) magazine. The piece (pg.12 - https://lnkd.in/epc-QiCr) explores the growing role of carbon in real estate, contrasting the opportunities associated with carbon reduction strategies against the potential costs of inaction. The article’s focus then shifts towards the challenge of incorporating carbon related factors within the asset valuation process, yet highlighting it’s importance to avoid market shocks as carbon factors become quantified. Overall an incredibly interesting topic that has the potential to reshape real estate in the near future.
