Active control sidesticks give immediate and intuitive feedback directly into the pilot’s hands, which enables them to safely make use of the aircraft’s full flight envelope. Another significant benefit of this technology is the ability to link the controls electronically from pilot to pilot across the cockpit. This link enables both pilots to feel the forces and see the movement generated by the other. Stall Strip is installed on the leading edge between the wing root and the engine nacelle to initiate airflow separation during high angles of attack. Stall Strip makes the leading edge sharper so that the airflow separates at lower angle of attack. The EGPWS system will adjust colours on the terrain display automatically as the aircraft altitude changes. The terrain display transitions between the lower altitude relative display and the higher altitude peaks display automatically. No pilot action is required. The most important function of the EGPWS is to give the pilot easy interpreted information about terrain/obstacles relative to the aircraft, and increase the situational awareness for the pilot.
