⚠️ The Importance of Quick Response Times ⚠️ In trauma situations, time is everything. A Stoke-based air ambulance would reduce response times to just 6 minutes within Stoke-on-Trent and 7-8 minutes to surrounding towns. This is far quicker than relying on air ambulances flying from distant locations, which can take significantly longer. This rapid response can make all the difference in critical cases, potentially saving the lives of your friends, neighbours, or even your family 💙 Find out more about our mission. https://lnkd.in/eC6YX5jT

Good reporting on a technical matter.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, NTSB Chairman, 2017-2021, CBS News Transportation Safety Analyst
Watch to the end. CBS News' Kris Van Cleave does a nice job explaining that greater attention to these events is contributing to fears about flying. On Wednesday I did a brief hit on CBS streaming and that anchor, like with Gayle King today, mentioned that she was apprehensive about flying. Anytime I have the opportunity to comment to media about aviation events, I try to make the point that our commercial aviation system in the US is quite safe, despite some hiccups. Don't get me wrong - the hiccups that we've seen lately are not acceptable, but I think it's worthwhile to keep things in perspective. I read a statistic that someone would have to board a flight at random for something like 100,000 years before they would, statistically speaking, be killed on a US scheduled airline. I say these things with the caveat that a lack of accidents isn't necessarily an indication of a safe system, but I believe the recent added fears of flying is unfounded. https://lnkd.in/eBdPg8V7
