Los Angeles, when you feel the fossil-fueled heat wave, think of ConocoPhillips’ branded oil & gas (Phillips 66®, Conoco®, 76®, JET® and Coop) and its newly acquired Marathon Oil refinery next to the city of Carson along the 405 freeway. You know, the oil refinery with the gigantic American flag and the cloud of toxic fumes around it. The oil refinery that has the explosions and fires that pollute our air in LA. ConocoPhillips, the Houston-based oil & gas company, has a market cap of $133 billion. The dirty-dealing company causing the fossil-fueled heat wave is right down the road. JTB 6-30-24
