These advanced processes combine coking and FCC elements, leading the way in bottom-of-the-barrel conversion. Though fewer than 20 units exist globally, their continuous processing and low solid output provide exceptional yields and conversions. Operators of these complex units face challenges like reactor erosion, regenerator hot spots, and extreme fouling. That pic is in a Fluid Coker Control panel, in Refineria Madero, México (1994-1995), Pemex. I worked there, 10000 BSPD, Arthur G. MCkee. Hot coke line from burner to reactor to keep 520°C coking reaction, cold coke line, from botom of reactor to burner.... Nowdays in Pemex we just have Delayed Cokers process.
