Honest request to influencers on LinkedIn. Stop talking about Ashneer Grover, Deepinder Goyal N. R. Narayana Murthy and Bhavish Aggarwal. They already have their PR. On their payroll. On active duty. To keep them famous. Instead, you should talk about these kinds of people. Like the one in the clip below. I can bet that not many in India know the name of this entrepreneur, without looking up Google. These are the kinds of people you should be sharing. You have made LinkedIn of India, into a mess. I joined the platform for helpful and positive content. And all I got was: -- Sh!tposts -- Sexy selfies -- Typical HR jokes -- Copycats And now, YouTube is my source of helpful content. If you want to make a difference, on a global level, then start cleaning up the mess, you have created. Hope this post will be the first step to do so. I want to share the impact content distribution and personal branding have had on my networking and relationship-building efforts. While I was in India this summer, I started documenting my journey on Instagram as an American-born Indian rediscovering the country. This story resonated widely, and a few of my videos even went viral. I continued posting regularly about my theses on India’s economy, policy, startups, and more. The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of people interested in/working on the US-India Corridor reached out, including investors and professionals from globally renowned institutions. This experience underscored the power of personal stories in building connections around shared interests. Content creation, I realized, is an incredible networking tool that drives scalable and relevant relationship building (the algorithms work!). While in-person networking is valuable, our tech-driven world allows us to complement it with digital connections, which also strengthens credibility in a given field. I’m excited to share more soon about a platform I’m building that connects investors, operators, and founders in the corridor. After many recent conversations, it’s clear there’s a growing community dedicated to the US-India Corridor—an inspiring development. Below are some stats from my Instagram performance in the last 30/60 days: 1.5M+ impressions/views in the last 30 days 20K+ shares in the last 30 days 10K+ likes in the last 30 days 5K+ follower growth in the last 60 days IG/TT accounts: shivam.desaii (if interested to follow) #india #unitedstates #corridor #emergingmarket #indiagrowth #indiastory #socialmedia #content #contentcreation #viral

Anything is possible in India if people are paid more for less work. These days, reels, youtube false information, guidance all are paid profiles. Including, if you want to damage image of the nation, image of CEOs or businesspeople - people are paid. they will interview them, ask wrong questions in hurry and make it as news to bring down image of the nation. Specifically, these days many are paid very well to de-market Skill India or Entrepreneurship that is growing in India. So, my humble request is - dont take news as it comes on social media. Dont be in hurry to judge things immediately. Please learn and then spread news. As whatsapp, Facebook, LinkedIn all are free - just hitting forward button will damage our own nation.

I was invited by #LinkedIn as expert, just a few days ago, to share my thoughts on the challenge we in Sales. How and when do you get it? It feels nice to see it. I have been in Sales for a decade working for Indian and US market for best companies in India like as PolicyBazaar, Timesjobs, PolicyX, Y-Axis etc. So, this notification is basically invite only. There is not really a clear guideline, but few factors matter like as years of your experience, Your post's reach and engagement, your efforts put on LinkedIn usage. Cut it shot, how valuable you and your insights are. When you do contribute to the invited shared articles, you get the chance to get a 'Top Voice' badge on your profile, you might have seen it on few profiles. Well, that definitely help as your authority gets a booster and thumbs up from LinkedIn. I have been doing Digital Marketing for quite a few years at Clicktize.com, I hope one day LinkedIn considers me an expert in this regards also 😊 And yes, best of Luck for your journey. #linkedIn #sales #marketing #digitalmarketing #money #seo #entrepreneurship #india #clicktize

Ever since the news of Koo's shutdown has come to light, there's chatter about "why building a social networking giant in India is not easy". This is a very wrong way to think, and I believe this kind of narrative will be very bad for the investment sentiment towards this space in the country. It's extremely important to counter this kind of thought, so here are 5 reasons why India is in fact THE BEST place in the world to build a social networking play: 1. We're very densely populated India's population density is 475 people/Square KM. As compared to 34 of US & 175 of China. We have a lot of people crammed up. And this is great news for distribution & adoption of new social networking ideas 2. Advertising costs are radically low Because of the high population density, advertising costs are radically low in India as compared to the markets in the west. If your product is well differentiated, you can attract people at a very low CAC and calibrate your product as per feedback to target a fresh set of users. It's hard to run out of new people to test something like a social networking product in India. Soon enough, you can have something which "clicks" & "sticks". Voila! 3. Our tech development costs are much lower To perform the product development and iterations, we need a good talent pool to build (and rebuild) tech. Which is not a problem because India's tech development costs (while having appreciated recently), are still much lower than the west. We can develop things for much cheaper, and while the quality of tech may not be "there" in the initial stages, things gradually get better 3. People at large have a lot of idle time Indians are one of the most obsessive content consumers in the world. An average Indian spends over 6 hours on the phone everyday, and a very small part of it is work. On an average, Indians are spending way over 3 hours on "leisurely" content everyday. They don't mind trying out new products, if they're well differentiated (and interesting). 4. Internet availability is extremely high, and amongst the cheapest in the world The good news that is #3, only gets better as India's internet availability is not only ubiquitous, but also the 3rd cheapest in the world (with only Israel & Italy ahead of us). As time passes, Indians will spend more & more time on the phone, which makes our country a fertile ground for new social networking ideas 5. There’s a lot of new people coming in the mix India has about 650 Million smartphone users, but 1.2 Billion people with a mobile phone. So as you can imagine, there are a lot of fresh people waiting to get hooked to smartphones. While this doesn't really make social networking a "blue ocean" in India, it's not exactly "red" either. New products have a chance All you need is a good idea... ...Which is what Virtual Voter is! Nikhil Kamath, please give us a chance to pitch. This could be something from Bharat to the world. Amen.
