I want to share the impact content distribution and personal branding have had on my networking and relationship-building efforts. While I was in India this summer, I started documenting my journey on Instagram as an American-born Indian rediscovering the country. This story resonated widely, and a few of my videos even went viral. I continued posting regularly about my theses on India’s economy, policy, startups, and more. The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of people interested in/working on the US-India Corridor reached out, including investors and professionals from globally renowned institutions. This experience underscored the power of personal stories in building connections around shared interests. Content creation, I realized, is an incredible networking tool that drives scalable and relevant relationship building (the algorithms work!). While in-person networking is valuable, our tech-driven world allows us to complement it with digital connections, which also strengthens credibility in a given field. I’m excited to share more soon about a platform I’m building that connects investors, operators, and founders in the corridor. 🌟 Reflecting on My 4-Month Journey on LinkedIn!🌟 Back in February 2024, I took the plunge into LinkedIn, feeling quite apprehensive. I didn't know how to navigate this platform—how to post, what to share, or how to build my brand online. It was all new and a bit intimidating. That’s when I turned to my friend, Himanshu Barsainya, We had a great conversation, and we laid out a strategy for same. Now, four months later, I can proudly say that it worked.
