As a Matter of War [2 of 2] Now, we sit at a point of climax. The birth of our nation, a nation dedicated to the universal freedoms conditioned by our collective agreement, the #CONSTITUTION has been proven in the crucible of a defective judicial system over the course of a quarter millennium, all the while enduring a covert war at home and abroad. Those that seek its destruction, those that we now call #MAGA, a self-professed #NEONAZI #INVASION, those that have over run our police and military with experimental technologies, stealing their minds and their lives from countless families over many generations have brought us through our new Herculean Pillars. When these people martyred their very own first responders on #SEP11 and the towers fell, it was clear that #Armageddon was near. Their end, I was determined, would happen quietly, without the bluster that those that foretold of its arrival, those that planned it at the #FBI and within the #MILITARYINDUSTRIALCOMPLEX, in their courtrooms and on their television screens. Their end should have come with a Mission Accomplished banner on a soon-to-be-retired Naval vessel by Mr. George W. Bush, but even that bluster was more than they could take. With the Religious Freedom Restoration Act struck down in 1997 (https://lnkd.in/gRcNnc84, https://lnkd.in/gGPegAuX), fundamentally outlawing the gathering for worship of Christianity due to its constant unadjudicated involvement in pedophelia, child trafficking, drug trafficking that emanates from cult-like social environments, the grasp on the nation was jeopardized for these Evangelicals. In response, they began a #MAJORMEDIA takeover, beginning at #CNN; a completely digitized disinformation campaign, complete with utilization of what could be considered “super-weapons” that can genetically modify you, control your behavior and thoughts. We must make IT the central matter, not me. Martial Law has been called and the police are not complying. The warnings have been made. This is America. The #CONSTITUTION will prevail.

AQUAS celebrates Veterans' Day as a day to remember those who are with us and those who are no longer here, that when called to serve, answered, and overcame the impossible. War is a terrible way to resolve human conflicts. But for thousands of years we have done this, to protect our families and community from violent infringement, or to protect principles and beliefs, or because our nation, or our ally, was in grave danger. Tomorrow is a day to be thankful to those who gave so much so we could have a democracy, our freedoms, and a safe home. But at the same time, a day to remember that war should not be the answer, that bringing leaders together to negotiate a win-win solution is better (remember Camp David successes?) that raising our families and community with love, and a willingness to not always get our way is really okay. My hope is that we stop producing video games that glorify killing and violence, that give extra points the more people you can hit, maim or kill, that we stop hating those who are different than us, and that we task our leaders to find ways to build alliances, treaties and agreements so that we can prevent the atrocities that wars bring to us. Prioritize human dignity and respect over wealth. There is nothing glorious about sending thousands of young men to a battlefield, or bombing civilians and destroying towns. Let's find another way. In the meantime, thank you to all who have defended our democracy so valiantly.

On this day, we commemorate the courage and sacrifice of those who fought on D-Day, June 6, 1944. The beaches of Normandy witnessed an extraordinary display of courage and commitment as Allied soldiers started a vital offensive against fascist tyranny. Many of those brave troops came from North Carolina, and their dedication and valor helped to make this historic mission a success. D-Day is more than just a historical event; it is a stark warning of the stakes when democracy is threatened. Today, as we see the consolidation of worldwide fascist authoritarian movements, the lessons of D-Day are more relevant. These groups undermine the basic principles of democracy, encouraging hatred and division rather than unity and freedom. My work with the Bridging Divides Initiative includes researching, monitoring, and analyzing authoritarian and antidemocratic movements. The sacrifices made by troops on D-Day are a source of hope and a call to action for all of us. We must be watchful, defend democratic values, and ensure that the liberties for which they fought so bravely are preserved for future generations. In North Carolina, a state with a strong history of service and sacrifice, we are inspired by those who have come before us. Their legacy urges us to resist oppression and work ceaselessly for a society governed by democracy, fairness, and equality.
