Today I was reminded why I started AVOPORT PTY LTD It was truly never based on the financial aspects of running a business. It has always been and will remain to empower and effect positive change through development, market insight and market access to the rural and poorest farming communities in South Africa. As I approach the last year of my public leader position and having successfully bridged the gap between private and public sector. I have a new and more profound understanding and appreciation for the agriculture sector and all the people within it. I have a new perspective and respect for the challenges and obstacles that present. With a vigorous and vivacious energy to flip the script and see every challenge as an opportunity. I now choose to view the solutions that can be found within the problems. Somedays you need such reminders when you get lost in the when, where and how of your career/entrepreneurship journey. Protect your vision. Remember your purpose. Walk, work and speak with the highest level of integrity.
