Last Saturday, I attended the Bees and Honey Conference. My topic of discussion was biodiversity. While speaking, I ended up learning a lot as well. For instance — the plate and bowl in the picture are made from areca palm leaves. They’re disposable but not harmful to the environment. Once, I visited a large polystyrene disposable plate factory for a business inspection. I couldn’t convince myself to proceed with that business as it was bad for the environment. Business isn’t just about making money—it feels good when a business creates a positive impact on society or the environment. But can we add impact to an existing business? Yes, we can. I discussed this in the workshop I conducted last Friday in Chattogram for new entrepreneurs. Next Friday, I’ll be in Khulna City, InshaAllah. I’ll conduct another workshop there titled "After You Start a Business" about how to run a business effectively. If this workshop were paid, it would cost at least 4000 BDT. However, it’s free for our brothers and sisters in Khulna Division. The registration link is provided in the comments—you’ll need to register. Only 40 participants will be accommodated, so register quickly! Additionally, 15 participants from this program will receive specialized training. Out of them, the top three in impact assessment will receive a business grant of 1.5 lakh BDT! I look forward to meeting those who are serious about business, InshaAllah.
