We would like to shine spotlight on two employees for their care and compassion and going above and beyond to support the community 🌟 While out on deliveries, they noticed an elderly gentleman standing by the side of the road next to his vehicle, who from the outset looked to have broken down. When passing by on their return journey, they saw he was still there and decided to stop and check if he was okay. They learned that the gentleman had been forced to swerve to avoid a reckless driver coming from the opposite direction, which resulted in his car being stranded. Unfortunately, his tire had buckled, making the vehicle undriveable. The gentleman had forgotten his phone, leaving him unable to call for help or let his family know what had happened. Our team generously lent him a phone to ensure he could get the recovery he needed. Since then, the gentleman’s wife has reached out to express her heartfelt gratitude to the team for their timely and caring assistance. Thank you for embodying our values and showing such genuine care for others in need. 💜

𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 - The Switch Witch. I’d like to thank whichever smart person invented the concept of the Switch Witch, who comes to children on Halloween night, replacing their candy with a prize of your choosing. After all, kids don’t need all that candy! But neither do their parents, so what to do with the overflow (once you’ve sorted out the good stuff for yourself, of course!)? 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗔: Operation Gratitude, which ships the candy to U.S. Troops, is one possibility. Other local options include dropping it off at children’s hospitals, homeless shelters or food pantries, or nursing homes. I was really struck by this image from the The King's Fund around the role that carers play and what the care role looks like. There's so much about this that gave me food for thought, and made me reflect back to my own parents who for nearly 15 years were caring for parents and elderly aunts and uncles. It was a choice my parents made, and they did it with huge amounts of love, but I saw first hand the amount of mental, physical and emotional energy it took to care for 5 people. The image below really made me think about: - How many people have had to reduce their hours to be able to meet the needs of the person they're caring for. - How many people have had to give up work altogether. - How many people have gone self employed for the flexibility that offers. - How many people are feeling isolated and get very few chances to share their experiences with others. - How little those experiences are shared, in contrast to other life events. This image will reflect the tiniest part of carers experiences, but I'm so glad I came across it today and it made me think about what I might need to do to raise my own awareness and think about what I can do to support those caring for others. #carers #carerrole #nhs #healthcare

Try to be realistic. If you take too much on, you may feel as if you never achieve anything. Try to get a clear idea about what you can do. By accepting the things that you can't change or do alone, you may feel more able to cope. You could try identifying and writing down: 🧡 a list of all the support needs of the person you are caring for 🧡 what you can do and what you'll need help with 🧡 how you'll know when you need a break. This... It was such a joyous moment when Baby Jaxson took his first steps and to catch it all on camera so i could share with you made it even more amazing! This was merely days before someone intentionally inflicted horrible injuries on our grandbaby. It's hard to imagine that anyone could do the things to a child that were done to Baby Jaxson, when he was only 10 months old. Injuries that set him back for at least a year. It's even harder to believe It's been over a year (16Jan2023 at 0945), since Baby Jaxson was dropped off at our door step with multiple fractures in his spine and broken bones in all of his extremities - the fact that this situation has not been rectified yet is enraging and severely troubling. We sure could use all the help we could get. We are so ready for this to end and in Jaxsons favor. I don't know what they could be thinking even considering putting him right back to square one, back with the same person that was in charge of his safety, that allowed this to happen in the first place. Since the incident occurred my wife and I have been granted temporary custody (shooting for full custody) of baby Jaxson and have vowed to do whatever it takes to make sure he is never put into a situation that will compromise his safety ever again. We are literally fighting for dear life to keep the system from putting him right back in the same situation, which is not as easy as it should be, however, reunification is always their goal. The financial burden that is resulting from this tragic situation is a mess to say the least. Any #help we could get would be greatly appreciated! #God #bless you all! "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." - Proverb This proverb means that when something or someone is missing from our lives, we tend to appreciate them more. An Educator's Explanation: Taking Well-Wishers for Granted Imagine a classroom where a teacher tirelessly helps students understand a difficult concept. They answer endless questions, provide extra practice, and celebrate every success. At first, the students are grateful. But as the support becomes routine, some might start to take it for granted. They may stop thanking the teacher, or even begin to expect help without putting in their own effort. This is similar to how we sometimes take the love and support of our well-wishers for granted. When their kindness is always there, we may forget to acknowledge it or reciprocate it. Psychology behind Taking People for Granted There are two main psychological reasons why this happens: Habituation: Over time, we become habituated to things that are familiar, even positive things like support. We tend to underestimate their value because they become expected. Attribution Bias: We often attribute our successes to ourselves and downplay the role of others. This can lead us to believe we don't need the constant support of our well-wishers. Should We Take Anyone for Granted? No, we shouldn't take anyone for granted, especially those who genuinely care about us. Their positive influence contributes significantly to our well-being. Here are some ways to avoid taking well-wishers for granted: Express gratitude: Thank them for their support, big or small. Reciprocate kindness: Be there for them when they need you. Maintain healthy boundaries: Don't take advantage of their generosity. By appreciating and nurturing these relationships, we strengthen our support system and foster a more positive and fulfilling life. #TakingForGranted #WellWisher #Psychology #Education #Appreciation #Gratitude #Relationships #SupportSystem Pushpahas Singh Anil Kaushik
Why do we take our real welwishers for granted ? For that matter, should we take anyone for granted ?

It’s important to show respect and gratitude to all individuals, including disabled auto rickshaw drivers who work hard to earn a living. Here are some ways to express appreciation: Acknowledge Their Efforts: Recognize the challenges they may face and commend their resilience. Show Kindness: Treat them with respect and engage in friendly conversation during your ride. Support Their Business: Choose to ride with them whenever possible to help support their livelihood. Spread Awareness: Share stories or experiences that highlight their contributions to the community. Offer Help: If you see them in need of assistance, offer to help in any way you can. Respecting and appreciating their hard work can make a significant difference. follow Babar Hussain 🎯 #respect #gratitude #never #giveup #help
