Canary Wharf is a diverse mix of workspaces, retail and leisure for those who work, live and visit the Wharf. It is home to more than 320 retail units, over 80 cafes, bars and restaurants with more than 3,500 people now living on the estate. Canary Wharf is home to the UK’s largest outdoor free to visit art collection. As a significant step in creating a world-class experience for travelers, The New Terminal One at JFK is seeking partners to design, develop and operate two state-of-the-art lounges at New York's new global gateway. The two spaces comprise a post-security 9,100 square feet common use lounge, located very close to the security checkpoint and at the heart of the terminal's headhouse; and a pre-security 4,000 square feet lounge offering amenities that will cater to both international arriving and departing passengers. The other day, I was speaking briefly with Jeff, an Everything Person at Staypineapple Boston. There was a guest standing nearby with his back to the front desk texting on his phone. As I walked past the guest toward the Trophy Room, he said (without looking up from his phone), "I really like your hotel." I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around and asked him why. The guest responded, "Because it's quirky. It's different from anything you would see at a big brand. My company has booked me here several times. The first time I stayed, I thought to myself, 'This is fun but it'll probably get old.' That hasn't been the case. It's the little touches, the personalized service and the staff is so nice." When I spend time in our #hotels, I get to witness the “little touches” first hand. For instance, yesterday was the #BostonMarathon. Our team packed goodie bags for participants with all the items distance runners need. After the race, guests were welcomed back with balloons and a celebration at the Trophy Room. Our property teams do such a wonderful job of surprising and delighting our guests and providing “friend-style” service.
