𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹? While only a full analysis will confirm the outcome of your microwave-assisted sample preparation, there are a few simple signs to check immediately after digestion. 🧪 Here’s what you should look for: - Residues: The digestion solution should be clear, free from residues or cloudiness. If the solution becomes cloudy after dilution, it may indicate the presence of silicates. - Color: The solution should ideally be clear, perhaps slightly yellow or blue (which results from dissolved nitrous gases). After dilution with water, it should turn colorless. - Foaming: Foaming, especially with organic samples, can signal incomplete digestion. Consequently, the essence is a simple rule of thumb: If your solution is clear, it's ready for analysis! 👍 In our portfolio of the Multiwave family you will certainly find the proper configuration for successful microwave digestion of your demanding samples! https://loom.ly/WKOR9wE #samplepreparation #elementalanalysis #analyticalchemistry #microwavedigestion #Multiwave #AntonPaar

One of our THCa Crystallization Community member asked: 🤔 What are the key factors for effective temperature control and solvent selection in THCa crystallization❓ 💡 Here are some expert insights: 🔺 Optimal Temperature Control: Pure Butane: Slower evaporation holds THCa longer, aiding larger crystal formation. Propane: Provides better cooling with a lower boiling point (-42°C) but may yield less THCa. 🔺 Solvent Choices: 70/30 Butane/Propane Mix: Balances cannabinoid extraction and crystal formation rates. Pentane: Slower evaporation aids in forming larger crystals. 🔺 Managing Solvent Ratios: Butane: Ensures high cannabinoid extraction. Propane: Enhances color and captures lighter terpenes. 🔗 For more tips on optimizing your crystallization process, join our upcoming Controlled Crash Seminar or reach out to our experts!
