As a working mum and CEO my VA (virtual assistant) takes care of so many of the day to day tasks for me, and get this, I don’t feel guilty asking for help as 1. She’s amazing but 2. I know I simply cannot do it all , here’s a sneak peak at a few bits Becky helps me with 💫 Personal: sifting through high volume of school emails , booking my car in for MOT, vet, dentist, pay parking ticket, hair appointments (which often need rescheduling as I’m unable to make the original date), the list goes on … Business: taking minutes in my Zoom meeting, booking my travel and accommodation, diary management Superpower: she has my back - at all times! 😇 All this enables me to be more focused both on my professional and personal life, eased the pressure and frees up my time to focus on what I love 💗 Imagine slowing down…. You can

Hi all, I'm following on from an update we sent to our mailing list for Hakomi Lancaster (you can also see this on the Hakomi Lancaster Facebook page l!nk in comments). Our update shared what's been happening for us and asks for some input from you. We were reflecting on the period of time since Trudy and Josh stepped down from Hakomi Lancaster. Over this year we've run some weekends or days training in person and online as planned and we've cancelled others through low numbers. We've come to see this time as a Hakomi experiment! We have experimented with fitting the work of advertising, being in contact with all the students and potential students; past, present and emerging, taking bookings and answering enquiries, preparing for teaching and teaching within our current capacities, but we have effectively been trying to fit the work of four people into the work of two people. What we've come to realise is that we don't have the capacity to do it all. All of this is great data, and in following the data we agreed something needed to change. After much thought, we decided that the brilliant Vicky Gaughan (senior Hakomi trainer), will continue with in person training in Lancaster. Jamie will be taking a pause to focus on her other commitments (her research) for a time and we think this will be for about a year. We don't want to cancel everything and we're really willing to experiment with you about how we navigate this next year. AND we really welcome input from anyone who might be able to support us with advertising and admin. It's really important to us that we use how Josh worked as our template. We're looking for someone within the community who'd be willing for a skills exchange. Please do reach out if you think this could be you. I'll put some l!nks in the comments to sign up for our newsletter if that's something you don't already have and also to Vicky's website for updates there and I'll be sharing from our Hakomi Lancaster page when I get chance so you can still get updates here. 📸 by Manuchi on Pixabay, design by Jamie on Canva #hakomilancaster #experientiallearning #embodiedlearning #lancaster #helpthehelpers #training4therapists #training #embodiment #bodymindconnection #bodymind #selfcare #mindbodysoul #wellbeing #mentalwellbeing #emotionalwellbeing #mindfulness #hakomi #healing #therapistsofig #psychotherapy #liverpool #counselling #therapy #personcentered #therapist #nourishyourbody #therapisttwitter #therapistsconnect #jamiefearntherapy

Are workshops better in small or large groups? I think there are pro's and con's to both really and a lot of my clients ask me, 'what's the minimum and maximum you can host?' The truth is, I can host a minimum of 1 and a maximum of hundreds but it's about what you're after for your team. Last night we had a smaller class for Drink & Draw in #balham and sometimes I panick thinking, 'oh no, it's a small turn out, people won't enjoy it.' (for context our class have ranged from 8 - 35!) That's not the case at all. A smaller group often means more quality conversations, better 1-on-1 teaching time and a much calmer environment. Larger groups can mean the introverts have a space to blend in a little better and the team are usually a bit more energetic. What size #workshop would you or your team prefer? #teambuilding #dreamteam #connection #artworkshop

When I first started coaching, I noticed a common challenge among studio owners - many were passionate and driven, but lacked clear systems to support their growth. This often led to feeling overwhelmed, disorganised, and unable to scale effectively. Having clarity in your business systems means knowing exactly how every part of your studio operates, from enrolment processes to class scheduling, financial management, and beyond. Clear systems create a strong foundation that supports your studio’s growth and ensures smooth operations. Here’s why clarity in business systems is essential: ✅ Efficiency: Clear systems streamline your operations, saving you time and reducing stress. When everyone knows what to do and how to do it, things run smoothly. ✅ Consistency: With clear processes in place, you provide a consistent experience for your students and their families. This builds trust and loyalty, which are key to long-term success. ✅ Scalability: Clear systems make it easier to scale your business. Whether you’re opening a new location or expanding your class offerings, having a solid foundation allows for seamless growth. ✅ Focus: When your systems are clear, it frees up mental space and energy to innovate and grow your studio. Re-defining your processes and systems to get more clarity in you business is one of the many topics we will be looking at during the Business of Dance conference on 31st August. 💡 Why do I think having a training plan 🏃♂️ works for those in management roles? 🤓 it takes the thought out of it. You have a task to complete. You get it done. Simple ✅ 🫠 You’re already busy - and the thought of planning your own training couldn’t be less appealing. Simple and specific programming means you can get your training done maximising time 😴 🥱 you might not like to admit it - but your fitness isn’t where it once was. Getting a helping hand from someone else to get you off the line is sometimes what you need 🤝🏻 👬👭👫 your team comes first in your mind - you often put your own team before yourself. Having someone else looking out for your wellbeing is so important 🙌🏻👊🏻 Want to work with me? Apply here > https://lnkd.in/ddf3n9xA

📚 Study Tip Sunday 📚 This week’s tip: Create a dedicated study space! Establishing a specific area for studying can significantly enhance your focus and productivity. Make sure it’s well-lit, free from distractions, and stocked with all the supplies you need. Personalize your space with items that inspire you, whether it's motivational quotes, plants, or a comfortable chair. A consistent study spot not only helps in conditioning your brain to get into study mode but also makes your learning sessions more effective and enjoyable! #StudyTipSunday #USUOnline #EffectiveStudying
