Innovation doesn't always have to Start at Product level it can also start at positioning lebel promising to solve unsolved consumer problem or one can always look at empty space unocuppied by no one else. Lux, Liril, Cinthol, Hamam, Pears perform the same function or are very similar products but they speak different language to the consumer. There is something called differentiation at Emotional level from there you arrive at brand langauge & brand tone.

It's All About Brand There's been lots of talk about how Silicon Valley refuses to embrace the idea of the brand. The fact is brand is everything. Look at any of the standout disruptors who owe their livelihoods to the brand. Brilliant engineering created a better path from the established way of doing things to something that could potentially be better, but.... What made the disruptor version better? What made it more trusted? What was it that helped millions and billions change their behaviors? The answer- brand. In a world of copycats and the instant erosion of competitive engineering advantage- the brand is all you have. It's the thing that allows you to maintain the distance as the gap between you and your competition and the incumbents gets narrower by the day. The brand isn't a separate thing, it's everything you do. The ones that get it understand that it's all about collapsing the silos and not making the brand the sole responsibility of a department. The ones that get it have leaders who lead with a clear brand idea that mobilizes and galvanizes the employee base and can be translated externally into the world. They ensure the brand lives up to its potential and stays relevant by constantly understanding where it stands in the market and culture and correct accordingly. They know that only having an internal perspective is a dangerous place to be and constantly challenge themselves by working with outsiders to reduce complacency and seize opportunities.
