Older product managers can bring so much to the table. They likely have experience from previous roles that are outside of product management and make them more well rounded candidates (yes cliche term, but its true). Give them a shot and cut away the age bias.

I hired a product manager over 50, and the resistance I faced was unreal. HR said things like, “He won’t fit into our culture” and “He’s overqualified.” But I held my ground and brought him on board. Everyone seems to be chasing 20-somethings with decades of experience, but this hire turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He made a massive impact on the company. You can’t Google experience. 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: If you're looking for great talent, start considering those "overqualified" candidates. It’s about skills and attitude—not age.
