1. Blender Blender is known for its built-in compositor that allows post-processing of the final results. Since it offers a production-ready camera and object tracking feature, you can edit your 3D scenes in various ways such as importing raw footage. 2. Zbrush As a digital sculpting tool, Brush is used for creating hi-resolution models for video games and movies. It leverages the visual effect artists both resolution and space to make global or local changes. 3. Nuke Nuke is also an important VFX animation software used for visual effects in movies like Black Swan, Avatar, etc. It is a compositing tool that is customizable and versatile in use. 4. Hey friends! It's time for me to take my first professional steps into the world of game art, and I need your help to find the perfect place for me to learn and contribute. Please read, react, share and recommend! 🌟 I'm a recent graduate of the Game Artist program at Yrgo in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I've studied to finally become a confident 3D-generalist. I love the process of making stuff in a conventional 3D pipeline. Referencing, Modeling, UVs, Texturing (y'all know the drill). However, I'm more than comfortable taking a more procedural approach using tools like Houdini. I have a strong sense of rythm, movement and theatrical expression from my years in amateur theater, which in later years has come to good use in 2D & 3D animation, and I enjoy experimenting with a bit of rigging too. Ideally, I'd love a position as a Technical Environment Artist, but I'd be more than happy to help out in any areas where I might be of use. My artistic roots are in illustration, with classic nordic childrens books as a main source of inspiration. Some favorites are Pettson & Findus, Mulle Meck & The Moomins. Just recently, I finished my first ever gig as a childrens book illustrator, which has been a life-long dream of mine. I also have an extensive background in music, having played over a thousand hours of professional live music on cruise ships and at corporate shows in my early twenties. I write and record music as well, ranging from pop bops to death metal tunes and short instrumental snippets for game projects. All in all; I love engaging in almost all things art, though I've yet to really give dancing a go. When I'm not working on any of the aforementioned things, I love hanging out with friends over a beer or by taking a walk together. If I'm by myself, I (naturally) love to play games. Some of my all time defintive favorites are Civilization VI, Spore, RDR2, Witcher 3, AoE3, Minecraft and The Sims 4. As you can tell, I love a game with either a building, or a RPG aspect to it. So, yeah! I'm looking for the perfect place to put all of my hard-earned skills to good use. Right now I'm doing remote 2D freelancing, so I'm open for a meeting or call at almost any time. I've been playing with a 3D program called #blockbench , normally used for minecraft models and mods. Its super accessible for me and has become my favorite modeling software after suffering with Maya and Blender. Of course I understand this software is much more niche, but for now its much nicer for me to build my skills in 3D. Why Indian Animation and VFX industry is hiring like ‘We need houdini/ blender/ unreal/ maya lighting artists’ now a days?? Arey humlog lighting artist hai, koi software professional thodi hai ki sare software ka experience rahe?? If someone can light up a scene then he/ she is a lighting artist. And if someone is willing to learn they will eventually learn the software with some training sessions. What is the problem if someone don’t have much software knowledge but knows how to do the work? 2 years ago when I joined a big company they introduced me to the software they are using for lighting and their pipeline. Yes, at first it was little hard to learn. But with some training and time it got easier for me to work with that software on some great projects. Please do not reject artists just because they have not worked with certain software. Remember some of the great Indian Temples or the Taj Mahal or the marvellous Howrah Bridge was built when Autocad was not there.

Even if you simplify textures or reduce details, bold silhouettes will still pop. Think big, bold, and readable! 🌈 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁 A bright burst against a dark background or clever use of gradients can make effects feel way more dynamic, even without super high-res assets. 🥔 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 Don’t wait until the end to optimize. 🚨 Luchador Walk Cycle in Houdini! 🎬🐔 I’ve been exploring character animation in Houdini using the Luchador rig from the SideFX Content Library, designed by Od Studios in collaboration with SideFX Software. This quick walk cycle was created using Houdini’s APEX system, and I’ve been blown away by the power and flexibility it offers! 🕺 While I can still animate in Maya and appreciate the workflows I’ve developed there, I was really disappointed by Autodesk’s decision to discontinue the non-commercial version of Maya. It’s unfortunate that they’ve made the software less accessible to independent artists and freelancers who just want to refine their skills. 😕 Fortunately, Houdini Apprentice with APEX is proving to be an incredible alternative, giving me the tools I need for high-quality animation.
