Choosing what is right over what is easy will always be a challenge - but you have to do it anyway👇 Managing a 6-year-old as a new parent - I often resort to easy over what is right. Be it explaining something to him or getting him to do something without me helping him But I always see that taking the easy route always comes back as another problem later with him So I tried the hard and right way, and trust me it wasn't easy - spending the extra time and last ounce of patience to do things right. By prioritizing what is right over what is easy, we build trust, credibility, and respect—both within our family, our organizations and in society at large. By doing so I set a positive example for others to follow and contribute to a culture of integrity and accountability. Let us embrace the challenges that come with prioritizing what's right, knowing that our actions have the power to make a difference and inspire positive change. #change #doingitright #leadershipqualities

Will kindness help you in your business? Being kind at work builds strong relationships by fostering trust and goodwill among colleagues. When you show kindness through small gestures like offering help, acknowledging others' efforts, or simply being polite and respectful, you create a positive work environment where people feel valued and appreciated. This, in turn, leads to better communication, collaboration, and teamwork. When conflicts arise, a foundation of kindness can also help in resolving them more constructively, as people are more willing to listen and compromise when they feel respected and supported. In essence, kindness at work lays the groundwork for stronger bonds, increased productivity, and overall job satisfaction. Want to learn more? Title: The True Measure of Professionalism: Lifting Each Other Up In the rapid pace of our professional lives, it's all too easy to become ensnared in the relentless pursuit of success. However, it's in moments of witnessing another's stumble where our character is truly tested. When we see a colleague falter, be it a missed deadline, a project setback, or a public mishap, let's resist the temptation to judge or laugh. Instead, let’s remember that empathy and support are the bedrocks upon which we can build a more meaningful and resilient work environment. Throughout my career, I've observed that those who extend a helping hand not only uplift others but also enrich their own personal and professional growth. By fostering a culture where we can safely learn from failure, we encourage innovation, risk-taking, and, ultimately, greater success for everyone. In the spirit of camaraderie and progress, I urge you to join me in replacing laughter with a simple question: “How can I help?” This approach not only strengthens our networks but it also reminds us that we're all human, striving to navigate the challenges of our industries. Let's celebrate our collective journey with kindness and encouragement, for the road to success is best traveled together. #ProfessionalGrowth #EmpathyInBusiness #Leadership #CommunityBuilding #SuccessTogether

#MondayMotivation As individuals and leaders, it is crucial that we prioritize our actions over our words. Our actions are a true reflection of who we are and what we stand for, speaking volumes about our character and integrity. It is easy to make promises and talk about what we plan to do, but our actions ultimately define us. People will judge us based on what we do, not what we say. Consistency between our words and actions is essential to earn trust and respect from others. When we lead by example, showing through our actions that we are reliable, honest, and ethical, we inspire others to do the same. Therefore, let us strive to align our actions with our values and beliefs, demonstrating through our behavior the true essence of our character. #PositiveVibes #NewWeekNewGoals #StartTheWeekRight

Difference-maker ✨ That bundled up word has so much power and meaning [Dif•er•uhns-mey•ker] I love it. And strive to be it. You could too, you know? Leaders in the workplace have an opportunity to be exactly that, but anyone can do it. We all hold the power to inspire, motivate, and uplift the people around us. Some ways being a difference-maker looks like to me: 🌊 staying strong against the current by committing to values and setting work/life boundaries…AND expecting others to do the same (goodbye guilt 👋) 💞 leading with kindness, empathy and integrity 💡create an environment where innovation thrives and everyone feels valued and empowered 🌱 provide recognition and pave a way for growth opportunities to team members—opportunities that, perhaps in our own careers, we had to fight for. (Just because it was hard for us, why must it be for others?) 🎣 cast away past grievances, ego, resentment… anything that can harbor negativity. Don’t let the little things get to you! Give grace, practice forgiveness and moveee on! 🚚💨 Every decision we make and every interaction we have is an opportunity to make a positive impact. 👉 Let’s embrace our roles with purpose, recognizing that we can transform not just our organizations, but also the lives of those we work with. What does being a difference-maker mean to you?

No, you and your work/professional team are not a “family”. I think there’s a danger when leaders promote that message to their teams. Work consists of an interchangeable group of people working towards common goals. Achieving those goals can necessitate hard decisions (aka sometimes you have to fire people) as to the best composition of people to achieve those goals. Those hard decisions should be handled with grace and compassion. You are related to your family. Sometimes you may want to “fire them” 🤪 but it doesn’t work that way. You are connected to family forever. At work, everyone is replaceable. And that’s the way it should be. A leader’s job is to inspire their team to learn, grow, contribute, and thrive. And to create a culture of joy.
