It Neville's own words: "Change your conception of yourself and you will automatically change the world in which you live. And how does that quote relate to the goal of selling my book? Well, it simply means 90% of my efforts should be directed at my internal world (i.e. specifically, the way I view myself). And that process has started already. Hence my three affirmations: - I am loved. - I am wealthy. - I am healthy. Notably, in those three there is nothing about the selling of the book per se. So, no need then to expend much energy on external activities like advertising (or marketing) the book. 2024 was a difficult year. As with most years it had its ups and downs. Since I tend to focus on the ups, I’ll highlight a few 2024 things I’m very proud of. First and foremost, I made my exit from Corporate America as a W-2 employee and formed the Delitala Quality Consulting and Author Corporation. It’s been hard yet rewarding work and for the first time in a long time, I really like my boss. 😉 I published 10 books. Four fictional works and six technical works. The first two works of fiction are also published as audio books. I have three more fictional books and 10 more technical books on the way. In the less than five months that I’ve been an author, I’ve had a little more than 200 orders. From what I’ve been told, it usually takes years for any book to sell, so 200 orders is pretty meaningful. I was presented in the biggest book fair on the planet in Dubai. I had two interviews with Ashley Jacobs and Logan Crawford. I was presented in the biggest book fair in the United States in Chicago. The Revisionist Volume 1 and Volume 2 (A Tale of Three Mothers & The Torture of Love) are in two local book stores, one in Malibu, and one in Orange County. And in February 2025, Quality by Delitala Volume 1 – The Quality Manual will be in Virgin Book Stores. What that means is that Volume 1 will be available in 600+ stores in Europe and Asia. It’s a significant accomplishment because Virgin normally only does business with Random House and Penguin publishing companies. So, it’s significant for me and also my publisher, Collins’ Publishing House.     The biggest event of the year was a local event hosted by a former supervisor and great friend. (Thank you!) And, during the holidays, I went door-to-door locally to sell my works in time for Christmas and made a lot of local relationships and had the biggest sales of the year. And, I’ve become a YouTuber. My production value is lacking but the messaging is on point. There are 10 videos out there. Please subscribe and like! I’m sure I’m missing something and that’s okay.
