Many workshops greatly care for #sustainability in their everyday work. That’s what we learned #Continental being part of the jury for the German Workshop Award hosted by »kfz-betrieb«. The growing awareness also showed up in our study “Sustainability in European workshops” across five key markets in Europe conducted by market research institute Ipsos (https://lnkd.in/e5Wpe8aJ). Some key results: Three out of four customers attach importance to #sustainability in car servicing, as nearly all workshops are working on the topic, yet more focused on “classic” topics such as recycling and saving energy. Yet, they do not seem to exploit the full sales potential of sustainable products. Time to come together at #Automechnika in Frankfurt to discuss the topic in more detail. In defining their Work Programs, the European Commission takes input from various stakeholders. One such stakeholder is ERTRAC - European Road Transport Research Advisory Council. Within ERTRAC a new workgroup was recently (re)created, "Circularity and Competitiveness". The topic of Circularity is close to Scania Group's heart where our mission is to be a leader in sustainable transport systems. Consequently, we are actively participating in defining the scope of this workgroup.
