“GIFT CARDS” . . . THE BANE OF OUR ECONOMY? Now that the dust and smoke as nearly all settled after the holiday chaos, you may have a handful or so of gift cards to “spend?” How many of you are also like me in that you often save those gift cards for the “perfect occasion” (e.g., special event, retailer sale, life milestone)? Now, raise your hand if you are guilty of not spending all of your gift card, or even worse, not spending it at all? 🤚🏼😱 While gift cards are often the win-win scenario we all seek to achieve as the giver/sender, if they go unused, then what? While I do have an MBA, I have had fleeting thoughts about this topic over my lifetime.
